Great burgers, wonderful service.
Stopped by for Thursday dinner as we were travelling through the area. Even though it was past peak dinner hours the place was far from empty (a good sign).
The service - right from the greeter on, was friendly and attentive. Felt very welcomed and at home.
Atmosphere was pleasant - typical family restaurant. Very clean.
Food came out relatively quickly.
I got their 1/3 pound cheeseburger with bacon....

Found this place via google.

I can see why the locals like it and get the feeling of nostalgia.

The flavors are different than anywhere else I’ve been. Which isn’t bad, just not familiar.

My smothered chicken was great. Fried chicken was fried well but for me the burn pepper flavor wasn’t my favorite.

My favorite bread selection was definitely the cornbread biscuits.

Very convenient off of the interstate! Plenty of parking. Very unique menu with all of your Appalachian food you could desire! Burgers-steaks -seafood! We wanted a light meal before dinner so we chose the delicious Pinto Beans with cornbread and house potatoes! Yummy! Perfect size! Obsessed with the gift shop at the entrance! Great souvenirs and gifts! Very clean and kind staff. Pay at the entrance like old school! We can’t wait to come back!
