Paulie's Fine Italian is quickly at the top of Charleston’s best Italian restaurants. The food is exceptional, phenomenal, and nothing short of incredible, with specific praise for the pork loin, lasagna, fettuccine alfredo with chicken, and rigatoni alla vodka. Everything is seasoned perfectly. Some note the pasta plates are very large portions. The service is consistently exceptional and wonderful, with staff described as friendly, knowledgeable, and making guests feel welcome. Small touches, like acknowledging a birthday, make the evening special. The ambience is great, though the noise level can be significant. It is considered the best meal in Charleston and an objectively good restaurant for any city. Guests travel over an hour to dine there and definitely plan to return.
