Went in for lunch and while our server was quite busy, the lunch buffet was amazing! I'm pregnant and haven't been able to eat red meat in months due to being pregnant and baby not agreeing. My fiance ordered a steak add on and I tried some, we ordered a second steak just for me because the baby allowed me to eat it! Definitely will be returning.
Some of my earliest memories are at the long-shuttered Shoney's in Beckley, so coming back was a nostalgia trip if nothing else. We came for Valentine's Day, and they had a special buffet - $40 for two people, including a slice of cake at the end! The buffet had steak and seafood on it, and everything was exactly as I remembered it from childhood. Great food at a reasonable price - in an era of upscale pretentious food, the down home charm of Shoney's is a breath...
Food was fresh and tasted great, amazing customer service, especially with our server April!
