Had layover long driving stops in charleston a few times past couples years and made this my go to takeout breakfast burrito spot after the first time. Last time took a wrap for lunch on the road and hit the spot. Fantastic staff. Fantastic food

I have traveled coast to coast. This little place is legit. The biscuits and gravy as well as the sausage was delicious.

After two weeks of road tripping our family was finally heading back home. This stop was everything our little pilgrim crew could hope for: local, tasty, homemade… and close to the interstate! We parked on Donnelly, ate lunch and were back on the road with a delicious to go cup of coffee in less than half an hour. No frills diners like this are a rare find!

Swiftwater is a consistent fave. I love to get a sausage egg and cheese croissant in the morning or the Italian grilled cheese plus bacon! Their burgers, hot dogs and soups are always good and you can get a cookie or a pepperoni roll to take with you.
Parking: Lots of spots close by. A nickel gets you 3 mins to run in for take out and you can use your card to pay at the meters.

Food is just ok. We were passing through Charelston and looking for local food. Swiftwater came up on a Google search for restaurants near me. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with a side of potato salad. The pulled pork was pretty good, it was served on a plain hamburger bun with coleslaw, but the portion was about the size you would feed a child. A little disappointed. The potato salad was served in a tiny cup. It was basically cut up red potato with some mayo thrown on it.
My friend had the grilled ham and cheese. Also served on a plain hamburger bun, but with lettuce and tomato. The flavor was decent but nothing exciting. If your not really exited about a sandwich and just need something to eat, this is a good place. It serves your basic sandwiches, some wraps and typical breakfast items (breakfast served until 10am).

I go here pretty regularly mainly because the food is good and the staff is really friendly to me. She evens goes out of her way to acknowledge me and says she remembers me and ask how I’ve been. I usually buy food for me and my mom as it has all the things we like. I am yet to try the breakfast but I hope to remedy that soon. I haven’t had a bad anything here yet but you can’t go wrong with the hot dogs. It just makes you feel like you’re home when you’re here.

Cute little joint. Rolled in here for lunch and it was pretty darn good. Chili was definitely on point. Will try to make it in for breakfast before I leave town.

We stopped here traveling through and will definitely be back. The food was great, as well as the prices, but the service was top notch!
