We were downtown on Friday and wanted to stay out and get some food. Saw this place had karaoke, which enticed my girlfriend, so we decided to try it out. We were shocked at how awesome this bar was. The looks and atmosphere were amazing, but sadly, it was dead when karaoke started at 9 (we got there around 8:45). There were maybe 10-20 people in the bar, not counting staff and the DJ, but it still felt lively. People slowly trickled in as time went on, so maybe it got busier...
I love this place for karaoke Friday and brunch on Sunday. I had two exquisitely perfect over easy eggs there last weekend. I appreciate that more than the most fancy dinner. I’ve brunched at many fancy places and they cannot cook an egg properly for any amount of money. My compliments to whoever cooked my eggs!!! Also, the rest of the brunch (tot waffle)was delicious, as well
I was on property at the Hale Street Center on business as a DJ for one of their bridal clients and discovered a new Charleston gem of a restaurant in the basement called The Volstead. As I perused the menu, I noticed the bartender delivering a Bloody Mary. It’s presentation convinced me that I needed one of my own. It was very unique and very tasty.
