Top notch service and a delicious, rotating menu. You're not going to find every flavor listed year round but what you do find is tasty every time! I highly recommend for locals and visitors alike!
Delicious drinks, wonderful service and usually a good story or two 😊 a million stars!
Great experience! We were served by Cosmik who had a bundle of enthusiasm and energy. The Apple Pie mead was terrific!
My life long friend and I had such a lovely time at the Meadery yesterday! The mead was fabulous. Ginger Mead is fantastic! We will be back!
Dave is a great host and his meads are on point. The Honey and Irish Trads are delicious.
The mead is always delicious and the proprietor is a very knowledgeable and interesting person who takes time to explain about the different types of mead and how they're made. We love going here.
The brews offered here are next level. I had the salted caramel apple and an Irish Sailor. Heather was friendly with prompt service when she wasn't cleaning or serving other customers. The building was clean, with a unique atmosphere. I'll have to go again on Viking night. Highly recommend.
We came here on Pirate Night and felt immediately welcomed in! Dave was awesome and explained what goes into his unique combos, and even gave us a Sword-Snorting show (he was a Side Show performer in a past life). There was also a Tarot Card reader in the back area, which is huge. We sampled everything on the menu, and took some home to remember our trip. Next time we are in town, Wandering Wind will be on our list!
Great meads, great people.
My favorite was the Irish Sailor’s: you gotta ask about it!
What an interesting little Meadery

The mead is amazing and the atmosphere is just as good. Definitely the best stuff in Charleston, maybe even West Virginia. Definitely check it out!
Very much enjoyed my time here. It is clear owner/meadmaker takes pride in their work and is extremely courteous.
I had an Irish Sailor traditional pour and clover session.
Both are light meads - Irish sailor was more herbal with a more solid honey back. Session mead was crisper and almost reads as a cider (with lower abv as well).
Sells bottles and growlers for those interested and he showed me where they also hold events like music in the back. I really like this place. Come here if you want the spirit of mead - friendliness, humility and gratitude.
Thanks!
Go here immediately! Tremendously glorious atmosphere and lovely mead. Cannot recommend enough!
Great place and ran by an awesome guy. The mini events hosted are always fun and the people who come are chill. The Irish Sailor Trad. is the best.
Checked Google and website to make sure they were open on Sunday. Got there and there is a sign saying they are closed. Pointlessly stopping here cost us a lot of time on our weekend vacation and kept us from being able to do other things that we passed up in other areas to get here.
