The Billy Motel & Bar / ISH Kitchen

**We only ate at the restaurant, we did not stay at the motel although it does look cute. Highly recommend the restaurant. The food is nothing short of phenomenal. It was recommended by a friend and honestly never expected it to be so good. Just mind-blowingly good food.

Absolutely loved our stay here. The decor is lovely, the bartender is very personable, the food and drinks are delicious. The french press coffee in the morning is excellent. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Davis.

Wonderful staff, super quiet and cute, one of the best beds I've ever slept in. Incredible value for the price. Rivals any of the best hotels in any resort I've been in - but with a classic Americana local flavor.

Small motel consisting of 10 units. Check in/out is handled at the office / bar by the bartender. There is also food available with an international menu. Unfortunately, the town was doing maintenance on the water pipes in town and the kitchen was closed on the day of my visit because of it. The room I stayed in was clean with a eclectic flair. I believe the bed had a memory foam mattress which I'm not personally a big fan of but fine for a night or two.
I noticed the hotel is for sale and the bartender told me she thought a deal was pending. If it changes hands hopefully the new owner(s) will keep it mostly as is with it's slightly quirky feel that lends to it's charm.
If you're in Davis and looking for lodging it's worth a look.

I was traveling through the area on my motorcycle and my original idea was to camp. Well after 400 miles of rain and 38 degrees a local campground owner recommended the billy. What a modern twist on a bygone era of motel stops. As I travel the country I am often jealous of missing out on an era of mom & pop stops I thought we're only part of history. The billy had a cozy atmosphere and a friendly staff. The bar had an interesting menu and my meal was delicious. I wish there were more places like the Billy Motel.

We had dinner at this amazing place. The interior was very interesting and gave pleasure. The food was also delicious. The menu was interesting and could satisfy any visitor. The cocktails were very good. I definitely recommend this place to visit.

Noting that I've only come in for cocktails, but this place is a gem. Excellent drinks, lovely decor, and the fireplace on a cold day is so cozy. Can't wait to come back and try their dinner menu.

Location is great. The bar is super cozy cute and the staff are welcoming! Rooms are ok, water pressure is great, and linens are comfy. Beds are a little lumpy but you can get comfortable. However, we were woken up at 5:28am by workers in the vacant room next to us, hammers were used before 8am. No mention of it whatsoever at checkout, and we were too cranky to bring it up.

Went here for dinner while staying in town. Amazing food, love the moody vibe. Every thing was full of herbs and favor packed. Definitely recommend!

What a Great experience, the decor refreshing 70ish with an subtle attention to detail. The lounge and restaurant do not miss a beat. The food served will please every palate from a hearty meal to the dietary conscience. Top it off with amazing detailed service and a comfortable atmosphere. What else can you ask for in Davis, WV or anywhere.

Such a rare wonderful gem in the desolate void. Rooms are clean, they remind me of a Jersey shore motel from the 80s. The ish kitchen has an amazing variety of cultural blends that make you salivate and question if you’re still in WV. Make sure you tip your bartender

We didn’t stay over, but checked out the rooms and popped into the cafe/bar. Love the decor and the vibe.

They don’t have many rooms (maybe 10?) so if you’re passing through, be sure to book ahead.

Good location- close to charming shops and restaurants.
