Came across this hotel motel last minute and thought it was so quaint especially for me being on a trip to West Virginia blowing into this little mountain town for the first time. The first thing I noticed was the bar that is connected to it thought it was clever to stop on in and grab a drink then go to your motel entrance from outside when your ready to turn on in for the night. I liked the retro quirkiness to the decorations and art that was in some of the rooms and bar area....
Absolutely love The Billy Motel. This place nails the cozy boutique vibe with real hospitality.
The on-site restaurant and bar is a standout. Great cocktails and a relaxed atmosphere, with staff who are warm, helpful, and genuinely happy to share local tips. The location is perfect for exploring Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley. After a day of hiking it’s amazing to come back to a space that felt both fun and restful.

The food at The Ish Kitchen totally lived up to the hype — everything was delicious, and the vibe was so good. Loved the retro style of the motel too — it has that perfect mix of vintage charm and modern comfort. Can’t wait to come back
