We didn't had any food. We stopped there to park and walk to Elakala fall. The atmosphere is amazing.Don't miss the breathtaking view in back yard. You can see the blackwater river and nice landscape.

Breakfast here was really good ate there both mornings I stayed at the lodge. I was so excited to try the dinner menu because of how well the breakfast was, however dinner was terrible. I got a rack of ribs that came out and they were cold I'd say they cooked them earlier in the week and re heated them. They could have at least put some heat on the cook the barbecue sauce on them. My wife's baked potato seemed old like they pre cooked that as well. Then while we were sitting there eating the waiter came to the table behind us and said oh you ordered the mashed potatoes and we pulled them out and opened them and they smell spoiled. How long ago did they cook the mashed potatoes that they spoiled. I also felt that was a bit unprofessional they could have simply said they were out. Kind of threw us off the rest of the meal. Also the Brussel sprouts seemed to be very old and re heated. Also when I asked the waiter what the soup of the day was he didn't know if it was chicken and noodle or turkey and noodle. Then when the table behind me asked he still didn't know a while later I feel that is somthing that should be known especially after someone asked you once. Just felt for 100 bucks for two meals it could have been better quality.

NO Buckwheat cakes Earlier this week, a server advised that Buckwheat cakes were on menu until 11:00 -- No, this is not the case. Often there is a Breakfast buffet and expect a nice lunch and dinner menu. Smokehouse has been recently updated and is worth a drive from Canaan Valley. Great service and ambience - give it a try.

In fairness with this place, their food is really fresh and yummy!. So we decided to order their salad. It was a simple but their salad was very fresh! Oh there bbq platter it's the best!! My favorite was the pulled pork and the size is really shareable! Of service was so awesome and on top of everything we need! This was more likely a family style dinning! My family are planning to go back here!. It was really a very nice experience for us!.

WORST service EVER, Food took an hour to receive, had to fill our own drinks when she brought the pitcher to our table which took forever for her to bring. Drinks took half an hour to even get, When paying waitress seemed mad at us for eating there and mad when people would ask for their change.

had to wait a long long time for the food. The group I went with they got their food first and by the time they had their food gone I still did not have my chicken tenders and fries. Waitress was a little rude and was struggling to count the money.Kid-friendliness: It's kid-friendliness for sure just the waitress was rude and not in a happy mood.

Terrible I waited for 40 minutes to get cheese sticks, and the brisket was absolutely terrible not the best BBQ in town.

The service was practically nonexistent and the environment was very tense. It felt like the servers were judging me just for asking for a fruit cup after ordering a fruit cup and being given something else. The potato skins were very good.
