The Heldreth Motel has been in Kingwood for many years, it's small town life here. Most recently some of it's rooms have been remodeled. It's a great place when you are looking for a budget friendly room, Refrigerator, Microwave, Television, Air conditioner Bath-Shower combo, WiFi as well as a decent bed for a restful nights sleep. Walmart, Shop n Save are grocery stores that are a few minutes drive from the location. The Preston Inn is a nice dinning choice close by for those who don't care for fast food but for those who do Hardee's, Fox's Pizza Den, Burger King, Subway, Pizza Hut, Little Cesar's Pizza and Mcdonald's, Dairy Queen are restaurants all within one- mile of the Motel. Preston Memorial Hospitial is less than 1 mile too. The Kingwood pool is a great place to spend your afternoon on summer trips to this location which is also under one- mile away.

Nice place to stay

I was impressed. The bed was soft, the TV was huge, the kitchenette had an oven, the water was always hot enough 😁. Will definitely book here again.

Looks can be deceiving. The outside had me scared to go in but it was actually a decent stay, rooms were nice and clean. Soaps provided in the rooms. TV is useless as there was no wifi connected to it. Just for looks. If you need a place to stay in the area, this will get you some sleep.

1. I feel like Vanessa gets a bad rep cause of her tough attitude and tough job, but there's actually a very decent person on the inside, and some people just can't accept it.

2. I believe nela needs to be allowed to go home. Finish school and get to make her own decisions and live her own life.

3. Some of the longer-term guests should have to leave the property. They are part of the bad reputation the heldreth has by the locals, and sometimes, you have to chase the bad business out.

4. The motel itself isn't the worst or the best. Upgrades needed. Some rooms are just better than others. It's not handicap friendly, in my opinion. The weekly and monthly rates are the way to go. No high speed wifi.

I have decided to hold back anything overly critical or say if I would recommend it or not. It's a motel, not a resort. You get what you pay for sometimes.
There's very few reasons to want to visit the surrounding neighborhood.

So I stayed 2nights and was charged $89 each night bed was hard as concrete. Checked out found a hidden gem the preston inn go to there site for my review. So unfortunely had to return back to the heldreth it was a Friday to Friday rate of $278..different room bed was better however stove/Oven was dirty dead bugs all over window seal rags n towels was stained no bed cover on matress had to go purchase one. Owner needs better management n house keepers..place has great potential with proper staff have pics to show of stove windows matress and line. .to my fellow travelers just be safe doors not secure at all.

Safety: Doors has one lock that can easily be opened no chain not secure. No curtains

Havent stayed here yet..seen renovated rooms look great and very clean. However just confused about pricing we travel to nearby healthcare facility . We all giving different rates
.one of my co-workers paying $30 A night. Started special mid-wk another paid $119 for 3nights and another told reg rates at $70 a night unless start on.Friday and rates would be alot cheaper.
So owner needs to set rates cause seems to be higher for some!!

Rooms: Rooms are great for weekly rental have a stove and lots of storage space. Staff is very kind.
Talked with front desk .very polite .

The Heldreth has upgraded! Now they have awesome studios with kitchenettes! I had to be in Kingwood for almost a month recently, and the suite was perfect for me!Nearby activities: Hovatter's wildlife zoo! Surprisingly nice little zoo.

Rooms: Our room was clean (but very outdated) but the dog howling from a close by room, in it's kennel from 7:30 pm until 2:22 am when it's owner finally came in was ridiculous (and yes I could even hear the noise of the kennel). No one to call in the office after 9pm.
