“The Root Beer Shack is a must stop! Cheryl was very nice and the entire staff was so welcome and kind. We sat outside on a beautiful day! Tried 4 different hotdogs, fries, Mac n cheese triangles, and the Rootbeer slushies! Everything was amazing. Great value! This is amazing hidden gem and truly wish everyone would stop by and support their business!“
“Hometown favorite and I make it a point to visit here at least once every time I come home to Parkersburg. This establishment is a cornerstone of our community and I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. I’m just glad I can share this piece of my childhood with my own boys :)The food is straightforward and always fresh. You can’t go wrong in this place. The prices have remained ridiculously low, even now. The ladies are always friendly and the service is fast.Don’t stop supporting small businesses like this. These “hole in the wall” or “mom and pop shops” are what we need to retain some small semblance of community and togetherness. You just can’t leave a place like this without a full stomach, and a full heart.“
“Pulled in and was surprised that this was a car service place. What a treat on a hot day! We’d never eaten here before, so we went with the basics: hot dogs! I had mine with sauce and onions and my mister tried sauce and slaw. SOLID DAWGS! The dogs themselves were hot and firm, the buns fresh with a great tooth. But the star of the show was the SAUCE! Savory with just a touch of sweet. Thick and meaty. 2 dogs for $4? Shut up and take my money! Everything was packed well, the dogs were neatly made, and the car hop very friendly. We’ll definitely be back!“
“Was craving a good old fashioned hot dog and Mr Diggety did not disappoint! The #10 (sauce, slaw, onion and I add mustard) was perfecto! I usually have hot dogs less than once every couple of years. This place may change me to once a week. Service was so friendly, I came 5 minutes before closing and both the cashier and cook were super nice. And a great price too for those yummy dogs :) There’s a nice little eat in area but I got mine to go.“
