Food was just ok - just not as much flavor as we expected except the sauerkraut, which was excellent. The beer from their brewery was great.

We are in the more casual pub area. The food was great and the server was attentive. We had the black forest cake for dessert - highly recommend!!

Very nice. Atmosphere was pleasant and the food was very good. I had lobster ravioli. It would have been better if it came with a side salad without paying extra given the cost of the meal.

From the room to the dining it was all great! Spacious & cozy rooms, beautiful views that make me want to come back in the fall, and amazing food with a great drink menu!

We just went in for Christmas dinner. They were very busy and I'm only guessing probably had been all day. My kudos goes to David ,the owner and the hostess staff. David worked very hard helping out his staff and was a shining example of what a owner can do to help in the stressful rush. He was pleasant, calm, kept a very peaceful monotone in his voice. Very sweet man. We've never been out for Christmas dinner before in 50 years. We would definitely go back here again because no matter how crazy the day can be, if the owner is willing to come out and help the.way he does, then I think that says a lot about his integrity and work ethic. He also wasn't screaming at his employees. He knew what it was and what was going on . He knew he was needed. I appreciate that kind of attention. It means he cares about his business, his staff ,the reputation and our experience there.
Food was pretty good. The brussel sprouts were to die for and salmon. Perfect. The only suggestion I have would be to work on the apple strudel.
The live entertainment. Just loved it! The fella in the keyboard really raised up my spirits. Thank you David for what you did for us and how lovely the place is. All the lights and everything!

I grew up in a German household and the food is very delicious. I enjoyed my dinner and also loved the outdoor black and white cat that has made a home at the Bavarian. Any place that cares for the animals is always a place I will return!

Lovely restaurant with nice menu and excellent, fine dining service. The menu has lots of varied options for the whole family. It could do with more German meals not using beef or pork, if possible. The beef stroganoff has pickle flavoring, which my daughter didn't take to. My Shepherds pie was deliciously flavored, but a tad thin on lamb. That said, we had a lovely and memorable family dinner there last weekend. It's a very special place and I look forward to dining there again soon. I missed the former, more elegant and colorful decor; the Modern Farmhouse look is nice, but needs more color and decor.

Food was bland. No taste to sauces on the meats. Extremely disappointed. Will not go back. Food in Shepardstown was much better.

We are at their restaurant. I ordered the Shephed’s pie. It was so watery I almost needed a spoon to eat it. It also had so much pepper in it that it burned out my taste buds. We decided to try again for breakfast. My supposedly cooked eggs were almost raw. The toast was so hard that if broke in half when I picked it up. Definitely a very disheartening experience for the premium price that we paid!!!

Food was insanely good. It was pretty fancy, both the food and the atmosphere. Drinks were fantastic as well. Our server was great as well I dont remember his name though.
