We stayed at the Bavarian Inn for a day and it exceeded our expectations. The Potomac View Premier room was beautiful. We had a jacuzzi tub for two, a huge shower, a fireplace, a nice refrigerator, and a balcony. It was clean and very spacious. I'm not picky or pretentious, so the minor cosmetic flaws in the room did not bother me at all. Came for the restaurant and it happened to be restaurant week which was an amazing deal. Their cream soup is one of the most delicious soups I've had! The black forest cake was also most and delightful. Service was great and the ambulance felt like a German village in the middle of the mountains. Definitely worth visiting!

We ate here for lunch on a day trip to Shepherdstown. We will plan a weekend trip to come back and stay at the hotel. Very quaint. The service from the staff was top notch. Every person we passed greeted us and smiled, very welcoming. The Brussel sprout appetizer was the best part of our meal. Had the wedge salad, Holzfaller Burger, and the Reuben.
