Unloved English Pub trying to figure out whether it's a quaint local bar or a British pub catering to the local college scene. Affordable prices, adequately prepared fish & chips and Welsh rabbit, pot pies and stews - standard pub favorites.. just missing something that makes you want to return.

When you think of a British pub, this place fits the bill. A small slice of Britain just off the main street in Shepherdstown yielded an excellent beer selection on tap and some great pub appetizers. The bartenders were also the waitstaff, and the place was busy. TV's with sports playing (but not overly loud or taking over the place, dark wood behind the bar, regulars at the bar, and a steady stream of people coming and going.
