Just passing through Charleston. We were just driving around and not too many places caught our eye. Saw Elephant Thai.... Food was absolutely exceptional. I had the Ginger stir fry with chicken., and some fried rice. Wow, out of this world good. It had onions, peppers, wood ear mushrooms, and chicken along with a side plate of rice. Service was excellent, place was clean, nice music, not loud. Lots of people!! Its already on my list for a return visit on return from travels farther west Again, an absolute hit with me..

What a great meal! I'm a big fan of massaman curry and theirs is one of the best I've ever had. 10/0 would definitely recommend.

The Tom Yum soup, and Red Curry. Excellent. They cook with fish sauce, and it adds a zing. Musci was lovely, jazz, and the waitstaff were attentive, and worked as a team to get food to the table. Lovley experience. Plus, I collect elephant statues, so the art was also to my liking. A bit on the pricy side, but with mostly fresh ingredients, I can't vouch for the bamboo shoots, but mushrooms and eggplant were lovely. Give em a try, worth checking out.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps to parking at a distance, but there at corners for sure up to building. Wheelchair will be able to get through the door, and could find a table, as they are spaced wide enough. Slightly cramped into the sushi bar area, depending on how busy they are. And that's the path to the bathroom. Bathrooms have lift handles on the wall. (at least for the men's room) and plenty of room for a wheelchair. Sink seems to be a decent height. To my able bodied eyes, it looks to be accessible, if I view it like when I had knee surgery. Hope this helps.

Amazing food at prices that are a little more than I expected. Still, you get a lot of food, and everything is unbelievably good.

A real gem! Attentive and pleasant service. Food was delicious with lots of options: noodles, fried rice, rice dishes, sushi, noodle soup, Thai beverages, dessert and more. I got the sushi and sashimi bento box which was yummy and a real bargain.

DELICIOUS! We had the green curry and the Panang Curry and they had great flavor. Some of the best we've had in all our travels.

I had previously been to the Elephant Thai Restaurant for a weekday lunch break with a friend who eats there fairly often. We both enjoyed the food & thought Hubs would like it for a change of pace as well. The restaurant was only semi-busy when we arrived a little after 4pm on a Sunday. We were immediately told we could not sit in a booth as preferred for some unexplained reason. We later found out (just before we finished eating) this was due to several prior reservations taking up those spaces. Our wait to order & for the food to arrive seemed a little longer than usual, but it finally arrived. Our friend ordered Basil Chicken, which is spicy & she is used to eating. When it arrived, her meal had only 2 very small pieces of basil in it, which was not what she was used to. So she asked for some more & an untrimmed 3"-4" piece of stem on a saucer was dropped off on our table as the server quickly walked past us. Our friend had also asked that the spice be slightly reduced, but it was almost too spicy for even her to eat &, trust me, she really likes spicy foods! At my friend's recommendation, I ordered Chicken Pad Thai since I like rice noodles & it isn't a spicy dish. My meal was barely lukewarm when it arrived & the noodles were all stuck together in a large, orange colored clump in a very cold to the touch bowl. The flavor was rather unimpressive, imho.Hubs had the sweet & sour pork which he liked. It looked more like a soup in the bowl due to all the extra sauce, but he enjoyed the flavor. It wasn't too spicy & it arrived at a proper temperature. So I guess the score for the meal that day was 1.5 out of 3.We were there about 1hr 15min. By the time we left, practically every table & booth, and the sushi bar seating in the back was filled. They definitely needed more wait staff on duty even if it was Sunday evening.

Fantastic food. Fair price for portion size. Service was efficient. Definitely will go backParking: There are spots on the street in front of the restaurant and in the side streets. I went on Sunday evening and had no issues whatsoever.

We've not eaten at many Thai restaurants and when we were in Charleston for a basketball tournament we decided to check it out given the high Yelp ratings. And boy were we happy to have found this place... It's a tad bit small for the seemingly high demand so plan accordingly and know there's going to be a likely wait at peak dinner time. The service, food, and drinks were all phenomenal... honestly quite surprised we were in Charleston sitting in such a classy spot. Unfortunately I'm writing this review a few days after our visit but wanted to give them credit. We had a couple of the chicken stir fry dishes (both amazing) a tuna poke bowl that was on point, a few tasty egg rolls that were delicious, some delightful Thai teas with boba, a hot green tea, and the fried ice cream was out of this world! Nonetheless we will visit again during our next trip to Charlie Town.
