I ordered a sesame chicken, which is crispy and delicious. The ingredients are fresh, the portion is sufficient, the environment is clean and comfortable, and the price is cheap. I like it very much. I recommend it to everyone.

This review is just for 2 meals out of a $71.38 take out order. I order chicken chow mein, pork fried rice, and crab rangoon. I have eaten in Chinese restaurants in at least a dozen states. I have never seen the concoction this restaurant sent for chicken chow mein. It was disgusting in appearance and nearly tasteless. It was translucent mostly white with a few snow peas and little chicken. This dish is normally bright and multicolored from vegetables. Google the recipe. The “dry noodles” were strips of WonTon it appeared, which turned to mush when the chow mein was placed on them. Noodles for this dish normally are a little hard and crispy. The crab Rangoon filling tasted like cream cheese with a little garlic powder in it and crusts were so tough they were hard to bite through. The pork fried rice used the smallest rice I have seen and after 2 tastes I threw it away. My wife didn’t like her chicken with broccoli and that is her go to dish at most Chinese restaurants. My grandson who picked the order up liked his dinner and so did my daughter.

Placed a delivery order for Sesame Chicken and every single piece of “chicken”, if you could call it that, was rock solid and completely inedible. As for the crab rangoon, it looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours under a heat lamp. Called in about it and the first thing he said was he couldn’t give a refund that he could exchange it out for something else. Idk about anyone else but once I get TWO items off a menu that was bad, I damn sure am not wanting anything else from that same menu. 1/10 WOULD NOT recommend.

We have enjoyed going here for years.
There is a lunch buffet, the last few times we went some of the food was cold.
The staff is friendly but the restaurant looks rundown.

Wow! Food was delicious!! We are from Texas and stopped by to eat some lunch on the road. I can’t ever seem to find a good wonton soup, and this place had it! My husband absolutely loved the egg drop soup!

Great local spot that’s been serving up the neighborhood for close to 25-30 years.

The noodles were scorched which once tasted , the after taste ruined the rest of the meal because it was so strong of a taste , the egg rolls were old texture and tough , and the chicken was basic , nothing to brag about
I hope to receive a full refund , the pork rice was ok , who can’t make rice though , this was a pick up order so it’s hard to rate much more than the food and it was a 3 out of 10
Been eating here for years. Main Tin Restaurant in South Charleston is a go-to spot for delicious Chinese food. The buffet is always fresh and well-stocked, offering a variety of options that cater to different tastes. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable. The restaurant maintains a clean and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for both quick lunches and relaxed dinners. Whether you're dining in or ordering takeout, Main Tin consistently delivers quality food and excellent service
It made me very sad to see my families favorite Chinese place completely empty. It did give me a chance to chat with the owner more than I had before. Best Chinese food in the charleston. Many times better than the place in Kaneha City. Don't just come for the lunch buffet. The spicy chicken in brown sauce is sooooo good.
Great food & fast service!
It's your standard Chinese-American food. We ordered to-go The food was piping hot, fresh, and service was quick and friendly. I ordered the shrimp with broccoli since it's Good Friday and I can't eat meat, and I wasn't expecting the little kick in spice. It was not overwhelming at all and very tasty. A ton of food. It's enough to feed 2 of us for 2 nights with reasonable prices.
