“Stayed in hotel, so I can comment on breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of it! Always a good selection of things to eat. Dinner is more pub-style food, but all was good with large servings and a good variety. The staff - this is my primary take-away - the staff were truly pros. They were always checking but not excessively though; you could tell they and the manager were very attentive even when busy! I really appreciated their time and service each day we were at the hotel. It was very convenient to have a great restaurant with great service there and not really have to leave to go out for dinner.“
“It was ok. I was expecting more, I guess. I didn't get what I ordered. I asked for 2 hotdogs with onion sauce mustard and slaw. I didn't get slaw. The service was good, they were all very nice. I just don't think this particular hotdog place is for me.“
“Mainly all buffet still,but they do have a few choices of sandwiches and burgers you can order out of the kitchen,we ate from the food bar and they did have a good selection,although I do miss ordering some things from the kitchen,maybe one day it will go back to the way it was,plus miss all the desserts and pies,cookies they use to sell yrs ago,Come on Shoneys!!So many want it back the way it was!“
“I visited The Spot during my last visit to Flatwoods, WV. I enjoyed a “Flatwoods Monster” sandwich. A cozy lil’ mom & pop restaurant in the middle of Appalachia. It has a small dining area inside with tables & booths. As well as a outside dining area with tables & chairs. The menu had a nice selection ofAppetizers, wings, salads, ice cold drinks & their signature UFO saucer sandwiches. The food was hot & fresh, absolutely delicious! The staff were very polite & friendly. There was even a sign where you could put your face through & take a picture with the Flatwoods monster to remember your visit. I very much enjoyed my experience there, I know you will too.“
“Enjoyed a lunch here while passing through. Great family owned restaurant. Cool atmosphere with barrel chairs. We had the turkey bacon club with homemade fries and BLT with chips. My brother said it best, “this food was made with love.” We’ll be stopping here again.“
