Restaurantji's guide to Teays Valley's top Mexican dining experiences.
“Exceptional modern take on Mexican. You can find traditional Mexican special ties. The star attraction however are a wide range of street tacos. You can do 3 for $14. My favorites include Birria, barbacoa, shrimp, fish and tongs chicken. Atmosphere is sports bar, but not too much noise to distract.“
“This place is on point! The salsa is legit, lots of fresh cilantro flavor. The El Patron burrito is massive and delicious. Service was super fast and friendly, They keep the place clean and clearly care about being an awesome restaurant! I will definitely be back very soon.“
“Cannot say enough amazing things about this resturant. Prices are more than reasonable. You can get a full large meal under $10 with a drink chips and salsa, which is rare nowadays. It is always, always delicious. The staff are friendly and work hard. Always so nice over the phone. Never forget anything out of my order and I go there a LOT. Love this place. I have been going there my whole life and hope they stay there forever. If you are new to the area. GO GET SOME!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly atmosphere“
“We recommend the white dip and the cameron locos.Vegetarian options: You can get anything here and just minus the meat. But they do cook separate for these menu optionsKid-friendliness: Bar is separate from other areas to have childrenWheelchair accessibility: Very wide and open floor plan“
“Probably tge best meal I've ever had in a Mexican restaurant. Food was delicious and portions were huge. Two of us could have easily been filled with one entre. The waiter was fantastic. All around, nothing could have been improved upon.“
“Great food. Large portions, so go with an appetite. And remember, it's Hurricane, so someone might want to fight you on the way out. Lol. ( I had the misfortune of apparently looking at a young lady the wrong way as I was leaving. Her female caretaker quickly advised me that we could go outside and handle it.) I just think she was on drugs. Life. It happens. ?Kid-friendliness: Our waiter was very sweet to my six-year-old son.“
“Very quick, food was hearty, authentic mexican. The meat was thick and seasoned, not a lot of rice or beans as filler, hence "authentic". Tasted fantastic, no complaints at all. Got two burritos (chicken/steak) along with beef nachos. The beef nachos are very simple, just the nachos, beef, and cheese, corn chips, I imagine you can order other toppings, we didn't ask for them. Very filling, delicious.“
“Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free ?.Tortilla Quesedills! I've only made them at ? but surprisingly, I found they offered this as an appetizer option! ❤️ I enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was Welcoming and Knowledgeable regarding my Gluten-Free diet restrictions. They took the time to go thru thier menu with available options that fit my tastes as well as ensure I enjoyed my food without any incident! Excellent 1st time take out experience!“
“This taco bell is pretty good. It's clean and service is fast. The sauce is available. Only downside is the self service soda dispenser is usually not calibrated properly.Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options.Parking: Lots of parking available.Kid-friendliness: Kids love taco bellWheelchair accessibility: There are wheelchair parking spots and a large door that is accessible.“
“The food was absolutely delicious! The prices are very fair considering the amount of food you receive. Our order was prepared quickly and arrived hot and delicious. The interactions with staff was great. Our experience was very positive and I’d highly recommend.“
