Had a wonderful afternoon here for lunch and a free concert. Food was good and the ice cream was excellent. One scoop is huge.

There is something special about this street, and this restaurant's food and vibe are perfect. Americana in a perfect package, with mindful meals that are fresh and delicious, and very reasonably priced for what you get! Highly recommend the Turkey wrap, and the hummus platter.

Live music only adds to the historic building, which prior to this restaurant, had been a local store and staple that was family owned for 93 years.

True magic, preservation of culture, and incredible drinks. 10/10, no notes, only love.

Thank goodness for the Purple Fiddle.

Got snacks with friends. Band was setting up. Always a nice experience. Bathrooms are very tight and handicapped access is difficult.

Has bands regularly. Great draft beer options. Dog friendly patio but no outdoor heaters.

This place is just ok.

We had a great lunch there recently on a visit to Thomas. We hope to return soon for the music.

I was here and i really liked there approach on getting your water and going to them to get food while still being a restaurant but the workers are just plain miserable. One lady with red hair especially was rude and just straight disrespectful. She likes to ignore anyone who isnt old and miserable like her. The food wasn't great and my sister and mother felt the same. All over a bad experience minus the music.

I know this is primarily a music venue . But the food was just awful. It had a very limited menu. My boyfriend didn’t even want to order anything. I got the chicken salad sandwich. There was very little chicken salad on it. Then bread was old and just crumbled apart. The only good thing was the beer and music. Save your money and don’t order food.

If you're ever in Thomas, WV and looking for the perfect way to spend a summer night, The Purple Fiddle delivers in every way. Tucked in the heart of this charming mountain town, it offered exactly what we needed—cold beer, live music, and that laid-back vibe you can't fake.

The atmosphere is rustic, cozy, and full of soul—like stepping into a friend’s front porch jam session. The band was phenomenal, and you could tell this place is passionate about showcasing real, authentic talent. The music spilled out onto the street, and you couldn’t help but tap your foot or jump in and dance.

Pair that with a local craft beer (ice-cold, thank goodness—because it was hot out), and you’ve got the recipe for a perfect Appalachian evening.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, The Purple Fiddle is a must-stop for music lovers, beer sippers, and anyone chasing a good time. 🌄🍻🎻

Really nice vibe at the Purple Fiddle. Small town Americana feel with live music and beverages. Up close and personal atmosphere with the bands on stage and the audience. Seems like they get some really talented indie bands from all over the USA. This place is definitely a music venue, a true treasure that you should feel happy you discovered or if you're a local, you have right in your own backyard.
