Was a great experience.
The food was SUPER yummy, especially after a long ride.
Staff were great on top of that.

Great little gem. Hotel here too, didn't know that until we showed up for breakfast. Good food, great portions. Wait staff was awesome.

The food was great once it finally came out, but holy crap was the service on the Cafe side bad. Trying to order anything from the lady in the Cafe was just awkward and unprofessional. She seemed very unaware of everything, lost and confused and it seemed like a food order was going to go nowhere.

The bar side had it together much better and was able to sell food and beer quickly. They did however try to charge me twice for my food, so watch the bill they give you and watch your credit card after.

We have had breakfast there not to bad! Lunch? Not acceptable! Ordered a hamburger paddy cook well done! It was cooked black hard as a rock! I would say breakfast maybe but lunch the cook needs to be fired that was terrible! That but head should be ashamed of its self! Chose a better restaurant in afton until they get a new cook!

I want to say George went wayyyy out of his way to insure that I was taken care of after another Inn/hotel had messed up a reservation and decided to take it upon himself to show me how well their hospitality would go. The atmosphere and overall feeling of this bar and hotel are amazing. It was clean and well taken care of. If you need service with a smile and courtesy, come say hi to these guys. George is amazing and outstanding and deserves the fattest raise. Thank you sir.

It took them a while to get our food in, but my Ribeye was amazing. Cooked perfectly. And the bartenders are lovely company. Great place

If I could leave no stars I would. We got to the Valleon around 10:10 for breakfast, left at 1130 still having not been served breakfast. Over an hour and no food. Had no creamer, and had to steal it from another table, ran out of water for over 20 minutes, when water was refilled she said she would bring us more Creamer, but never did. I went to the restroom after about 30 minutes of being there, there was nobody even sitting at the bar top, (this is an important detail in a second)
After about 40 minutes we get an apology saying our food will be out soon. Around 1125 we ask how much longer and are told 5 minutes.... We give up and ask for a bill to pay for our coffee, we're done waiting. She tells us we don't need to pay for the coffee, we insist so we can still tip and pay for our coffee, the server rolls her eyes as she walks away (I do not understand this, was she just wanting to make it sound like we walked out without paying, no we want to pay you for what was done)...... as we were leaving, I look at the bar top and there is a couple sitting there with food!!!! Roughy 30 minutes after being there probably 20 minutes after ordering there was nobody even at the bar, how are there now guests there with food????? I myself have worked in the service industry for close to 2 decades serving and bartending and have never been this disappointed in my service and the food took to long to even try... don't waste your time that's an hour I'll never get back.

Our food was very good. I read a prior review about the hashbrowns not being great, ours were very good. My daughter got the chicken fried steak and scrambled eggs (prior post said those were overdone)… take that with a grain of salt… everyone likes their scrambled eggs different… her eggs were cooked just fine. I had the Spanish omelette and hashbrowns, and it was also very good! Place is dated but it’s clean, so if you’re looking for uppity, maybe pass, but if food and friendly service is your goal, I’d recommend it! (And I’m fairly picky about food quality)

Perfect for an early breakfast while traveling from Yellowstone down south. Beware of the pancakes - you gotta be really hungry. The sausages are more for smash burger lovers and please upgrade your syrup for the pancakes. Ambiente is authentic, service was great. Restrooms need a replumbing!

Had breakfast, got the chicken fried steak with eggs and toast. It was okay, the steak and gravy were good but the toast was a little closer to bread, my scramble eggs were a bit over cooked and the hashbrowns were raw and burnt at the same time. I'd stear clear of the hashbrowns. Wife's food was okay, eggs cooked right and her bacon looked thick although it was a little over cooked. Her hashbrowns same story. Service was fine although some things on my wife's plate were wrong. Got enough coffee and the place seemed pretty clean. Parking could be a problem.

We LOVED it here! The Breakfast is amazing! They have the best French toast i have ever had! And the coffee is really good here. The service is great, very friendly waitress, on top of refills and anything we needed. Very kod friendly. The portions are generous. We will definitely come here again when we visit Afton.

Kid-friendliness: Came in with 3 hungry loud kids. The waitress was very nice, and found things to accommodate my toddlers needs

No one was even upfront to greet us, only to find out they were closed.
