This is one of the last bastions of a kind of social atmosphere that modern society is trying hard to forget. It is unfortunate that certain patrons from out of town (CA, e.g.) attempt to ruin it with their caustic attitudes. Be that as it may, the genuine humor and kindness of the bartenders and locals here could withstand much, much worse. I count myself privileged to have been here, and I hope to return as soon as I can.
This is a hole in the wall old bar that's been there for a hundred years. Yes they smoke in it and there is plenty of liquor and the beer is cold. Great service
