My family used to get a half of a beef from my husband's uncle and then from his cousin who raised cattle for years. They have since retired from the industry and now that it is just the two of us at home, we needed a place to get high quality regional meats in much smaller quantities. We also enjoy picking up a sandwich from their restaurant side. Even though we can't get our family's beef, I enjoy knowing that the same care goes into the Meatery's selections....
Husband got a bison burger and I got a jalapeño burger. WOW! They were both absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly, fresh buns, yummy fries…can’t wait to go back. As locals we are really excited to have this new go-to spot.
We visited The Meatery and they happened to be closed that day. We asked the manager if they recommended an alternative, since we were only in town for one night and had just gotten married.The manager ended up giving us several cuts of meats for free, refusing to let us pay. The hospitality and kindness was touching. We ended up coming back several days later and leaving a tip in the tip jar, and placing another order online. The meat was great and the hospitality was even better.
