Their automated tipping was fraudulent! 25% was actually 40%, 20% was closer to 30% and 15% was closer to 25%. Good food and beer doesn’t make it right to steal from the customers.
The shrimp and grits were 5 stars. Great beer and atmosphere
We were extremely under-wowed. We figured with this place being right in the center of town, it must be good. We were surprised we even got seated asap with how busy it was - little did we know we'd be waiting an insanely long time to be even noticed by waitstaff. once our waiter arrived, he never even looked up once from his handheld and had 0 customer service. Based on the reviews, Roadhouse Brewery & Tap Room is located in the middle of beautiful Jackson with a great view from the outdoor seating on the balcony, which looks over the square. The dining area upstairs is nice with lots of big wooden tables, a bar, and several tv’s with sports playing. The food received mixed feedback. Positive mentions include the Bison Burger, Chicken Baked Maca-Maca Cheese, Elk & Pork Spring Rolls with Thai Sweet Chili Sauce, Venison Tostadas, and Tinga Chicken Tacos. Drinks like the Huckleberry Collins, Highwayman Pilsner, and Highpoint Cider were also enjoyed. However, some found the food mediocre for the price, noting the Bison Burger was dry with a tiny portion and the ribs were standard and really sweet. The Mozzarella sticks and Fried Pickle appetizer were considered the best of the food ordered. Service was generally fast and friendly, though some experienced slow service on an off night. The host was welcoming, the bathroom was clean, and the walkway had cool little mural paintings. Many recommend it for the beer.
