“We don't go through Lander without a stop at The Middle Fork. They never disappoint. The Tomato Soup is the best I've ever had. Paired with the Crab Omelet, which the chef happily split and made individually for us this visit shows that manager, Jamie, has trained her crew well trained with customer service. “We chose this restaurant for dinner based on a Google search. We were somewhat skeptical of trying it based on a couple of recent reviews, but gave it a chance.

This is a simple, no frills type of place. You place your order at the counter, take a number, and they bring your food to your table. There is no table service. There was also a sign requesting patrons to please bus their own tables.

There are a few tables indoors, but there is a huge outdoor patio with a lot of seating.

The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. I had The Houlihan sandwich and waffle fries. What can I say, I'm a devoted M•A•S•H fan 😉 This sandwich was fantastic, and the fries were excellent. Definitely a win in my book.

My wife ordered Fish & Chips - 4 pieces of battered cod with waffle fries. She enjoyed her meal until she got to the fourth piece of fish. It was like hunk of rubber. She couldn't bite into it and couldn't even cut it with a knife. Had we been near water, it probably would have jumped in. She tried to take it back up to the counter to show them, but there were about 20 people waiting in line to order so we just left.

Had it not been for the rubber fish, I probably would have given the food 5 stars.“
