Nan’s Cafe is a lovely local spot in Mountain View that makes a small town feel special. The staff is polite, kind, and welcoming. The food is a wonderful surprise, with good portions and delicious meals. The country potatoes and pancakes are wonderful, and the sweet cream pancake is like no pancake ever tasted and is huge. The hamburger is very flavorful, and the house made chips are tasty. The country fried steak comes with 2 eggs, country potatoes, and sourdough for toast, and the gravy is very flavorful and peppery. The Denver omelette and Turkey and Swiss sandwich are both delicious with big portions. The omelet is the best during travels. The cheeseburger and fries hit the spot. Service is great, and the server is very nice and sweet. The diner is clean, friendly, and fun. Guests will definitely return if passing through and will come back if traveling this way.
