Great steaks in a convivial atmosphere. We enjoyed our interactions with the waitstaff and can definitely recommend this place!
Terrible owner
We stopped in on a Sunday night, I had made a reservation but it wasn’t really needed. We thought they had good cocktails, friendly waitstaff and great food.
We ordered the marrow bone as an appetizer, and it was very tasty. My husband had the lamb and I had the bone in ribeye. The meat on both of our entrees was very good. The only thing we both found lacking was the veg…it was sweet like they had dumped a bunch of agave on the mixed vegetables. The restaurant was clean and bright but a little sterile.
Overall would definitely recommend.
Spacious restaurant with great service. A warm welcome to great food is what should expect here. The prime rib is scrumtrulescent! Decent kid options. I put some prime rib in the quesadilla to jazz it up and make it a high class kid meal. Draft beers are tasty too! I can’t forget the dessert. I’m a cheesecake fan…so enjoy!!!
Very good!!
The ribeyes were incredible.
Best steak I've ever had in my life!!!! Great price, too! $32 for a great T-Bone (that was better than any ribeye) with bacon-wrapped scalops!
Brussels sprouts … how do you make them so good (without bacon). Absolute best you will have!… ever
Winter 2025. Some of the best food we have ever had. Waitresses was great. Nothing bad to say.
We were in town for a ski race and hope to be back next year…in part so we can come back to this restaurant.
Our Valentine's night was wonderful after we asked to change server's. The 2nd server made our night amazing. The 1st server was horrible and maybe needs more training.

Great dinner in the bar with friends. Great service.
The food was very good. I enjoyed the creamy shrimp pasta while my companions enjoyed the prime rib and filet mignon. All were very good. The entrees were brought out before we had a chance to complete our appetizer and salads.
This was quite the place to visit, I believe the building was built in 1902 and has such a good feel on the interior giving you a warm and inviting feeling. And I can't say enough about the quality steak dinner along with the sides was all perfection. They were handing out Halloween Goody's while I was there and just like the decoration for the holiday they go all out, great service great food awesome atmosphere and will definitely be stopping in again
We are so glad we stopped in here for supper while on our honeymoon! The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. My husband had been suffering from a toothache for a few days before hand while we were traveling, and the staff/owner went above and beyond to help us with our urgent needs while staying in Pinedale for the night. Thank you for a great evening and all of your help!

Surprise! Your server was the owner’s girlfriend! We would never have known. Would you like to meet the chef/owner and have a tour of the entire property? That is what we received, not because we are big tippers or celebrities, but because we asked a simple question about the location. These people are an inspiration. This restaurant skillfully and beautifully rides the line between snooty and sensible, in a way that perfectly fits the bill. The food was excellent, the décor was gorgeous, the layout cool, and after being shown every back room and told about every secret passage, we bumped into Buck. Buck purchased this derelict building and turned it into a huge, classy, comfortable, and fun place. Super misleading from the street view. He kept the original name so that the locals would not be encumbered by new management nonsense, and so they could feel a certain wonderful way about their own history. One of the staff approached him while he spoke to us asking “The kitchen is closed but this guy wants to order.” “Anything he wants” was Buck’s response. That is the spirit of this establishment.
It is owned and operated by a bug and fish scientist who developed an affinity for cuisine while guiding on the river and cooking for fly fishermen. If you had an unsatisfactory experience here, it was a one-off, an accident. I have traveled all across the mountain West.. my crew as well. We all marveled at the degree to which we were catered to and welcomed. We were also astonished at the thought and creativity that went into every aspect of this place. A hostel? Massage therapists? A photo booth? Employee quarters? We were given access to an old slot machine and invited to play. The arcade is in its own room and has crazy modern games that will make your kids head explode. An observation tower? A poker room? This guy is my hero. He took an idea and built a mecca that I will never forget. I think the most endearing part is that we are likely not an exception. They probably take random guests and explain the entire history, renovation, and philosophy to lots of folks. A true hidden gem that I am thankful we stumbled onto. Bless you, Buck and Mindy, for what you are doing. And Kay, may you rest well knowing that your endeavor is being so faithfully and capably carried on by these two angels.
