The food was delicious! I don’t understand why the horrible reviews. My husband and I has just checked into the Snake River Lodge & Spa and was hungry. First of all the service by the Bartender Benji was excellent! He was so delightful to talk to. He offered suggestions for places to eat as we were not certain what we wanted. He also changed the TV channel so we could watch the F1 race. Second, they had my husband’s beer Miller High Life. Third, I had the prime rib French dip and my husband had the Turkey sandwich without avocado. Both were excellent! My husband loved the smoked turkey. He kept saying it was the bomb!!! The quantity was substantial and the quality of the food was delicious. We are so happy we tried this place. Please note that this is now the typical restaurant. There are a number of tables within Snake River Lodge. We ate at the bar and we were very happy with everything.

This was probably the worst food we have ever had. Extremely disappointing! How can a turkey sandwich be messed up? Brown avocado was smeared on the sandwich and the menu states “crispy” fries. The fries were not even cooked. The other item ordered was the wings, not good at all and a side of the “crispy” fries, which again were not even cooked. Just awful & not cheap by any means!

The food was decent, but for the price, you'd expect great. When we went, they took the fish off the menu and didn't have a replacement option. The spaghetti is so spicy so be aware!

My husband and I were hesitant to try here because of the lower rating but boy, am I glad that we did it anyways!!! Everything was AMAZING! The steak was great quality and had wonderful flavor. They had by far the best creme brulee that I’ve ever had.. I literally dream about that dessert now!!!Forget the others ratings, EAT HERE!!! (and have some creme brulee for me!)

It’s spring break so it’s a bit crazy. Things aren’t stocked (I’m talking about the coffee bar nearby and the little market). The bar isn’t separate from the lobby and reception area of the hotel. We can hear the music and people at the other restaurant. The doors are open, creating a cross wind, so it’s really cold. It’s April and temps are in the 30s.I loved loved loved my husband’s prime rib French dip sandwich. It’s like French onion soup in sandwich form.I got the burger and it was good but not as good as I’d hoped. I don’t know why it wasn’t more flavorful. We got the Black Forest cake. It’s layered and lighter than straight up chocolate cake. The cherry layer was sweet and stronger than I expected it to be. But we enjoyed it.Service was good but I didn’t know we could’ve gone to the restaurant and it has a view. We asked staff and this is where the restaurant was and they directed us. It looks like the menu is the same. I really wish we’d gone there instead.

I ordered the chicken breast for Christmas dinner. It was definitely not a Christmas miracle.Bone-dry chicken, took one bite out of it and it cut my appetite. As a former professional chef, chicken is the easiest meat to cook and give flavor to. It’s so sad that we had to endure this waste of money and time. Also, the sauce on my plate had dried up meaning it was sitting in the service window for at least 10-20 minutes. On top of that, I went here five or six years ago, and their bison burger literally tasted like FISH!It has been closed for the past couple of years and should remain that way. Or at least a new chef. Please.

Got the $42 new york strip steak. It was big but kinda tough. It was not bad but it was not worth $42. It was properly cooked. The view from our table was the bar in one direction, and the check-in counter in the other. We didn't see any horses out the window. The staff did a great job - couldn't have had a better server. It was just not the atmosphere we expected it to be.
not bad but smelly horses
I stayed 4 nights at the lodge. I had the breakfast buffet today. It is expensive but not unlike other hotels in big city or tourist areas. Eggs, bacon, coffee and lots of fresh fruit: Strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, 3 kinds of melon and pineapple. Good service too.
Good food and nice views of the horse farm and horses.
