No one was upstairs and my kids went nuts while I ate and drank. Will return. I'm from SC too so that's saying a lot.

We stayed at mammoth hotel for 2 nights and hence we had both night's dinner at Mammoth Dining room. It gets very busy during dinner hours, so better to go early and reserve table. The staff is very accommodating and listens to your food concerns and suggests whatever they have on menu considering your restrictions. Kids menu has lot of options as well. We did have good experience and it is the beautiful restaurant inside the park, which makes it more worth the visit. Its walking distance across the road from mammoth hot springs trails. Considering very limited options of restaurants inside the huge Yellowstone park, this place does great job!

All of the food here was really excellent, but some of the portions were a little stingy for the price. We ordered the beef sliders, lobster corn chowder, and truffle fries. The slides were really good, but they were $20 and only included 2. We thought there would be a few more. They are made with wagu beef, but I'm not sure they're worth $10 each. They're pretty tiny. The chowder was good and a good portion. The fries were excellent, but the menu specifically said "sharable sides" for two people, and the small cup was about enough for one person. The next morning I ordered the french toast with turkey sausage and it was all really flavorful. The food deserves 5 stars, but the portions are underwhelming, especially for the price.

Food is decent but portions are ridiculously small. “Shareable” side barely enough for one. Wait staff more interested in closing for the night than in letting us enjoy out over priced meal. They sat our party of 10 at two different tables even though there was plenty of room. One table was served 15 minutes before the other. Overall, bad end to a great vacationVegetarian options: Vegan options but we were afraid to try them after eating them at old faithful snow lodge

We had our Christmas Eve dinner here and we did not regret it! The staffs were super friendly, and our food came out no problem and was tasty for being in a national park dinning room. They also have a few vegan friendly options which was awesome for people with dietary restrictions.

The filets were cooked correctly, but the char from the grill had a bitter taste and the beef wasn’t very exceptional. Nothing special about the bland mashed potatoes. It took a lot of salt and pepper to be able to taste them. The Cesar salad and the lobster and corn chowder were very good. The wine and the Basque cake also were very good. The service was excellent! We went back the next day for breakfast - bad idea! The bagel was dry and tasteless. The biscuit was good, but the sausage gravy was not good. The coffee and water were the only good things about the meal. Again, the service was excellent. We would return though for the Basque cake.

This place is terrible!! The portions are hilariously small especially considering the high price point of this! We were staying at the hotel for three nights and cancelled our dinner reservations after the first night. Bad selection of food, small portions, high price. Nothing we ordered was even prepared well. Avoid this if you can. There is far better food in town just outside the park.

Due to limited options in the area, I sorta recommend this place. The hot dog pictured wasn't bad despite the multiple colors.

As part of a winter tour of Yellowstone we enjoyed a lovely dinner in a quiet private dining room. Our dinner included bison meatballs, bruschetta, filet mignon, sweet and mashed potatoes, and crème brûlée cheesecake. The food was perfectly prepared and presented. The service was friendly and attentive. A perfect end to a magical day in the park.

Great service, amazing food especially considering where the place is located, beautiful scenery and great cocktail bar. Keep it up guys and thank you for the hard work!

Het eten was vreselijk. Ontzettend jammer, je hoopt in zo'n omgeving lekker te kunnen eten, zeker voor de prijzen die ze hanteren...

I think the only reason this restaurant survives is they have a captive audience. I went here in October for dinner and was given a buzzer and told the wait was 45 minutes. I may have misheard Nick regarding where the buzzer would function but when I returned about 40 minutes later to check-in on the reservation I was completely ignored by Nick while he seated another party. This was the case despite the head of that party repeatedly telling Nick that I was there first. Nick rudely did not even acknowledge my presence the entire time despite me standing right in front of him and he is apparently the manager. It was a shocking and unnecessary lack of customer service by Nick not to acknowledge the customer and the mishap with the buzzer. Instead the woman at the desk sat my partner and I instead. Our server was polite and pleasant. However she was probably a bit inexperienced as she lacked attention to detail (e.g. not asking how well to cook the meat).Sadly the food is priced such that you would expect a little flair or nuance to the meal but most items are extraordinarily plain/bland. For instance a $13 burger is a simple patty on a plain bun with a slice of tomato, one piece of lettuce and a couple rings of raw union. It is edible but nothing near fancy or unique.

We really enjoy the meals here. At this time in the season they are only open for dinner. The food is the best we’ve had in the Park.We had the Market Fish, which was salmon, Mushroom Tortellini, House salads, and Lobster Corn Chowder. We’d recommend all of those dishes. It’s a bit pricier than other restaurants in the Northern part of the Park, but the food is beyond the basics available elsewhere.
