Good atmosphere in this restaurant with authentic decor! We hadn't reserved (I don't know if it's possible) and we waited more than an hour to get our table (there were 7 of us so it's not always easy) but despite that, we we had a good time.

During our tour of Yellowstone Park, we decided to make a pitstop at this charming place. The ambiance, both inside and outside, was delightful, and the service was excellent. The rustic decor gave it a genuine cowboy atmosphere. However, when it came to the food, it left much to be desired. Regrettably, there weren't many vegetarian options available. I opted for the fried green tomatoes, chuck wagon corn, and a house salad. The tomatoes were passable, but the corn and salad were quite disappointing. If I ever return to the park, I won't be revisiting this establishment.

This is very convenient to the cabins, delicious food and our server was fantastic. My bison burger was undercooked but it was quickly corrected and the burger was delicious. The view is gorgeous and you can get a drink at the bar when they open and sit out on the covered porch in rocking chairs.

My husband and I were both a bit disappointed. We had quite a wait (35 minutes) for just average and overpriced food.

It's in the park, and somehow the concessions that run things cut so many corners that it's amazing when anything tastes ok. But because concessions have a monopoly, it's always been this way. This food is definitely better than the Old Faithful Cafeteria food (which is abysmal) but that only made it decent. There was one waitress for the entire room and she was tired. The trays they make staff carry are so heavy I wince.

Casual dining. Burger was fine but a little over cooked. Had to ask for bread to come out after seeing other servers bring it to other tables when people first sat. Service is slow. Be prepared for that. Servers could use extra training but I guess it’s tough just being seasonal. We were told “last seating 9:30pm”, but when we arrived at 9:28pm, the host made us feel uncomfortable and said “let me see if anyone wants to take you.” Thankfully the server we got was great and very welcoming. He didn’t rush us at all. We were in and out within 30 mins. It had been a long day of driving and we just wanted food before sleep because there’s nothing else around..

The manager there was amazing. She talked to us about our trip and made suggestions on future trips for our family. The beans made here are out of this world! I am not usually a bean person, but these ones are special.

This place serves hours old room temperature food. We waited over an hour to be seated, no big deal as it’s really the only option in the area. Once we actually got our food, I was served cold French fries that were clearly over an hour old, room temperature ribs and lukewarm broccoli. The food was absolutely not in the safe serving zone and I’m surprised it didn’t make me sick. You’re better off eating chips for lunch than spending money on below mediocre school lunch quality cold food that was cooked who knows how long ago. I feel bad for families staying in the neighboring lodge who have nowhere else to go. I’d rather guzzle an entire bottle of old sriracha than ever eat here again.

Had the Bison Chili and Bison Burger!!! Cooked very well! On this day 8/23/2023 at 2:53pm MT there was only one cook and the Lodge was full of patrons. Everything still came out FANTASTIC!If your at Yellowstone National Park this is definitely a place to stop.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Magical time at Yellowstone. Very rustic and laid back at Roosevelt. Small facility makes it more homey. Lots of people stop on their way from Lamar Valley to southern areas of the park...fun to talk on the front porch and hear everyone's experiences.

I just want to take a minute to let everyone know how great this restaurant treats its guests. We went horseback riding and returned hot, exhausted and hungry. We entered to put our name down and was told it would a 30 minute wait. Disappointed and thirsty we asked for some water while we waited. Will the host said sure and told us to have a seat and he would bring us some. The waiting area was full of comfy couches and chairs and will brought us some water. He returned a few minutes later with a pitcher of water saying “ I think you need a bit more water. ?. We were seated quicker than the time and our server Mo (Mohini) greeted us with a smile and took our ordered. The place was busy and while we waited for our food Will showed up at our table with a plate of chips and salsa saying “you guys need something right away”. We enjoyed the chips and then our food arrived, tasty ribs and sides. Everything was delish down to the lemonade. We got our tickets and while we waited to pay Will showed up again with a single scoop of Huckleberry ice cream for each of us. Now I’m sure after 24 hours of travel and a 4 mile horseback ride I’m sure we were pathetic looking but I have a feeling these employees brighten everyone’s day not just weary travelers. Thank you to all the staff at the Roosevelt lodge and corrals for making our first day at Yellowstone so much better.Parking: Short walk
