“I having been meaning to post a review for some time now. This little oasis of health and happiness is an absolute joy to visit! With a bounty of wholesome, delicious and colourful options, it's always a challenge to decide, but I do love that turmeric cauliflower bowl! I have enjoyed every bevy, treat and meal I have ever had at The KInd Café. Thanks for creating this healthy haven!“

“The food was definitely a 5 star for us. We had the cauliflower Tahini bowl and the chicken sandwich, and both were very special dishes. I really appreciate the inclusion of house pickled vegetables in both. It is one of the pricier places in town but I think that can be justified by the quality of the food. The atmosphere is of course pretty cool, being connected to the Lumel Studios. Though our table being directly beside the washroom was perhaps a bit of a turn off.The service is for us where experience fell short. There was nothing particularly friendly or warm about our greeting at the restaurant. After our food was dropped we were mostly forgotten about. No one came to check how we liked our dishes after our first few bites. And when our entire jug of water runs dry and we sit without beverage for several minutes, that's a big no-no for us. Having to get up to ask the staff for water greatly detracts from the experience.Still, the back of house is definitely creating some real magic and it was a privilege to get to try their food.“

The Coffee Shop Cafe • $

“Love it. It's a hole in the wall but, they have good coffee and we enjoyed the cheese quiche. It was fluffy and creamy and flaky. Perfect! A little on the pricey side though, for 2 large coffees, a cheese quiche, and a cinnamon snail it came out to almost $40.“

“The food was 5 star! We had the house granola and the Benny waffles and it was delish! There seems to be lots of variety on the menu for break/lunch/dinner so you could return several times and never get to all t4he menu. However the service is not to the standard we are used to. Once our food was dropped off we were forgotten about. No one came to check how we liked the food. Then our empty plates sat for 20+ minutes until I eventually had to ask someone for the bill. But she never communicated that to our server so after another 15 minutes and having to ask our actual server, we were able to pay. Still we didn't really care because at the end of the day, if the food is good that's what's important.“
