I ordered the Shoyu as I’ve been craving a bit of salt, spice and broth but holy smokes this is over the top salty and mildly spiced. I wasn’t even able to finish it due tot the saltiness 😫 their number is out of service so I can’t call to let them know. I’d love to try again but I’m very hesitant now.
Absolutely delicious!
We finally made it down to try the food.

Wood Street Ramen, now also called the Night Market, is a small restaurant on the edge of a shopping mall in Whitehorse. The inside is fairly dark and pleasant, though from the outside it is not too inviting, and the dining room is small and cute. It offers a variety of Asian dishes, including fabulous Asian soups made with bone broth, udons, ramens, Thai, and Korean. The shio ramen with chicken was fairly salty and a little bland, while the shoyu ramen was tasty and quite good, though a little saltier than needed. The Tonkatsu Ramen was on point with a rich and flavourful broth and well-made toppings. Pork belly baos, dumplings, and ramen were really tasty. Service was fast and friendly, with good prices and local brewery options and wines. The place is small but cozy, and the ramen is obviously popular with locals. Vegetarian options are right on the menu, and dietary restrictions are easy to see.
