“We finally had the chance to dine at Anna Lena. We booked ahead of time through their website as I think they discourage walk-ins or gets fully booked. Every dish is so good and prepared with great detail. I can't even say which one was my favourite. Service was superb. They all took turns to serve and they know every detail about the food and wine origins. It's like a farm to table fine dining concept.Presentation at its best. I think the Oyster and foie gras was one of my favourites. The fluffy snow flakes of shaved foie on the oyster was merely a touch of savory richness, along with a touch of acidity from compressed apple and a hint of heat from jalapeno mignonette, together they help showcasing the oyster as the big star, front and centre. Not mentioning the box it was in had a smoke when they opened it and I was awed. Wagyu was nicely prepared. Hokkaido scallop with that hot soup mushroom sauce was nostalgic and very good. The Noix de Saint Jacques Homard Pêches Chanterelles dessert was very delicious. I could still go on and on but theres too many dishes about 12? I forgot.We had the tasting menu for $148/pp and the wine pairings for I forgot how much and some cocktails. Oh, the cocktail drinks are all so good. The mug was like a lego brick which was kinda cool too. Overall, I paid about $500sh which includes the tip and taxes for 2 people. It was super worth it!!! Its a true dining/ culinary exprience. I left with a happy heart, very full, tipsy, in-love, and felt like I travelled to different places overnight. I won't hesitate to come back.Ps my photos wont do justice to the food and experience I had. The place was darker so lighting for photo is not the best.“

“We are a party of 4 and tried the chef's menu for dinner. There were 3 appetizers, 3 main courses, and 1 dessert. It's served family style. Everyone liked the octopus dish because it was very well done and soft. However, we found all the food a bit too salty, except for the dessert. Portion was good for 4 people.Parking: There's free 2 hours on the street. If you're unlucky, there's a paid lot close by.“

“We phoned yesterday, made a reservation for a birthday dinner today at 5:30 PM, confirmed verbally on the phone. We showed up at 5:30 PM and they turned us away, saying they had no reservation. We showed them the phone number that we phoned yesterday to make the reservation. The phone number was on our phone, confirming that a phone call had been made. We recounted to them the conversation, including the discussion about the fact that it was a birthday and reminded them of the discussion about having a dessert with candles. Nobody recalled the conversation and we had to leave because they were fully booked. they tried to assert that our reservation had been for the previous day and that she even recalled serving a woman yesterday with the same name, a birthday.“

“Can't recommend this place enough. I have been here a handful of times and each time is better than the last. The food is amazing - I have tried the chicken and veggie bryanni which are both very flavourful. Their appetizers - gol gappe, momos, and fried cauliflower are also delicious. We got a few snacks but none of the cooked food so I can't speak to that. We came here on Sunday to watch Canucks against Oilers, were told by a server that no tables inside were available and were offered a table in their patio area. That wasn’t going to to be an option for us as the game was showing inside only. So a very lovely middle aged gentleman by the name of Bob has so kindly offered to share his table with us. We managed to organise 3 chairs from around other tables and joined Bob for a wonderful evening, enjoying drinks and food whilst watching Canucks win! Bob was a star, although he was an Oilers fan, he was so friendly and joy to be around, if anything, it is representative of the warmth of the place. Bob turns out to be a regular. I understand this review has pretty much became about Bob at this point, but don’t mistake it. If the place has friendly regulars like Bob, you absolutely should visit it. Definitely will be back soon!Food was delicious, I would highly recommend their curly fries, they’re freshly cut and fried, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and adequately seasoned. “Great spot. If only they opened up the patio to let bikes in. A lot of people don't feel safe leaving their bike on Broadway. It always comes up as a suggestion among our friend group as a place to meet, but we often go to Boxcar instead as they let bikes onto the patio.“

“My new favourite place in Mount Pleasant! The most incredible staff, food and beverage. After dining in several times, decided to host a birthday party in the private, back room. The entire staff was so accommodating. No extra fees for bringing in your own cake. Provided tables & chairs arranged to your liking, had a large screen tv for watching hockey, room to host well over 50 friends and still set up an area for a photo booth.Additionally, they bring local artists works in to grace the walls.I cannot recommend this place more. You will definitely enjoy their menu but will be over the moon with the service provided during your visit!!!“

“If you are in Vancouver and want an amazing dining experience, we highly recommend Lift Bar and Grill. We dined here for supper on June 3, 2023, and absolutely loved the atmosphere as well as the food! Waterfront dining (they provide indoor/outdoor and roof top dining), with the water and mountain views was spectacular as we watched the sunset on the water. Our server Sean was very pleasant and courteous and made our time there very enjoyable. We started with Caesars and Soughdough Baguette, and then shared a Scallop & Prawns Linguine (we have smaller appetites). Both were absolutely Amazing dishes! The surprise birthday dessert was very much appreciated and delicious! We would say the cost is average for Vancouver restaurant dining. This is not a fast food restaurant, but chef prepared and is reflected in the presentation and taste! We will be back when we visit again!“

“Stumbled across this restaurant on our last night in Vancouver and what a find. This is a small but very busy restaurant with lots of locals coming in a constant stream plus takeaways and delivery drivers. This was a Tuesday night and it was extremely busy. So it is clearly very popular and i see why!! The food was fantastic and very authentic. The portions were huge and very reasonably priced. Great wine too. It was a small team but they were constantly at it. Such a slick operation and the service was faultless. A special shout out to John who was very funny. An absolute must if you are in this part of Vancouver!“
