“We phoned yesterday, made a reservation for a birthday dinner today at 5:30 PM, confirmed verbally on the phone. We showed up at 5:30 PM and they turned us away, saying they had no reservation. We showed them the phone number that we phoned yesterday to make the reservation. The phone number was on our phone, confirming that a phone call had been made. We recounted to them the conversation, including the discussion about the fact that it was a birthday and reminded them of the discussion about having a dessert with candles. Nobody recalled the conversation and we had to leave because they were fully booked. they tried to assert that our reservation had been for the previous day and that she even recalled serving a woman yesterday with the same name, a birthday.“

“We were waiting for our kitty to get treatment at the animal hospital down on Alberta st. And thought we’d stop here for some greek food. We were pleasantly surprised at the cute atmosphere and really friendly service from Alexandra!We ordered the souvlaki platter for 2, a bottle of wine (40% off mon/tues) and backlava.The portion of rice, potatoes and vegetables were generous. The meat was so good we wish there was more of it. The house wine was delicious and you gotta check out the bathrooms!“

“We started going about 6 years ago as our friend likes to have large group dinners there. Been in small groups too. Usually order mixed souvlaki or other Greek dishes. Decided to order pizza last time. Was great. Family run business. Friendly. Very busy on weekends. Good variety on menu to satisfy a group.“

“Great vegan option at Granville Island. Huge plate with falafel, pita, stewed veg, salad, and crispy potatoes. They also give you a huge tub of hummus as well! The container they serve in are pretty hefty so you can reuse them at home ☺️“

“Stumbled across this restaurant on our last night in Vancouver and what a find. This is a small but very busy restaurant with lots of locals coming in a constant stream plus takeaways and delivery drivers. This was a Tuesday night and it was extremely busy. So it is clearly very popular and i see why!! The food was fantastic and very authentic. The portions were huge and very reasonably priced. Great wine too. It was a small team but they were constantly at it. Such a slick operation and the service was faultless. A special shout out to John who was very funny. An absolute must if you are in this part of Vancouver!“

“I visited The Greek on a Friday night with a couple of my friends. We had an amazing time. The food was great, it was very tasty. Our server, Adam, was super nice and friendly. He was very delightful to talk to. I tried their sangria and for the main, I had Moussaka, which was very delicious. They also have great desserts. Their chocolate mousse was so good ? Definitely will be coming back.“

“This is a busy restaurant, even on a Monday night. They have a pasta special on Mondays and their pasta is so saucy and delicious.We were seated right away and despite the large parties seated around us the service was good. The servers checked on us regularly and were attentive. The food came out quickly. I particularly enjoyed the lime margarita and can't wait to come back and try other dishes on their menu.“

“I had a great time here with my mom tonight. We had been in this restaurant five years ago and after Covid and all that I’m so grateful that we’re able to dine in this lovely restaurant again. 20 years ago when I was still a high school kid I’d come here for lunch occasionally, time flies. The lunch special costs me only $5 back then. (Miss the good old days) Don’t get me wrong, the price here is still very reasonable and affordable. And the last but not least, they offer great food and excellent service here. I’d really like to say thank you to the young lady who served us tonight. I spent some time in Greece last year and this is very comparable to a good Greek restaurant. Service was outstanding and the restaurant has a great vibe and look to it. Prices we very reasonable. “I ordered the roast lamb. It was very tender, well cooked, and flavored, and the portion was really big that I had the leftover as another meal. But the service was not as good as the food, though they had a group party and they were short on staff. However, we took advantage of live Turkish music, which was for the group party, but everyone in the restaurant could enjoy it. I would go there again and recommend it.“

“I can't believe we have driven by this place for almost 3 years and have never dropped in.I was at a a charity poker tournament last Friday and "The Main on Main" was a sponsor so naturally I told my wife the next day that we had to drop in.Today was our second visit in less then a week and this place is just wonderful.The Greek food is authentic and old school .My kids are fascinated with the American Burgers to the point that we just can compete at home any more..Very happy to have discovered this place and my loss for not venturing down the block for such a long time .“
