“I love Pine & Crane! Seriously amazing Taiwanese food. The restaurant is stylish, modern and clean while the food is very authentic and completely delicious. My kids were surprised at how tasty everything was. Healthy too! We will def be back often!!!! If they have it, the lotus root salad is a must! 3 cup chicken is amazing, wontons, etc… I want to try the wood ear mushrooms next!!!“

“They lived up to the hype both the pork belly and the wontons tasted absolutely good. I can highly recommend it. Qmd we did not hear any names being called during for those on the wait list. Thought the wait time can be long. Bring ansun umbrella for sunny days. Their locals are rather small for the high demand.“

“As a Hollywood resident of 12+ years, this is my go to spot when I'm in desperate need of a hangover cure. The soup dumplings (xiao long bao) are my go to when I wake up feeling hungover on a Sunday. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, shoutout to Mya and Ian! As someone who works in the service industry it was so refreshing to come in to such a friendly and welcoming environment. Everyone is on top of it and food and drinks came out so quickly! Definitely my number one recommendation for food if you're in Hollywood.“

“One of my favorite spots for shabu shabu! I always go with the spicy broth or the mushroom! It's not all you can eat, so I usually spend about $75 a person when I go. They have some interesting meats like chicken feet and other exotic cuisine. Very authentic and very tasty! Join the yelp waitlist if possible!“

“It’s SUPER delicious!!!!❤️I am originally from Chengdu, away from hometown for 3 years, this hotpot and Chuanchuan really makes me feel home! I heard from the lady boss that the chef is an old hotpot master in his eighties, it’s really authentic!I even brought the soup home for cooking?? There is no one else who packs hot pot base ingredients?Great service!Totally recommend!“

“Definitely my *fave* hotpot spot in LA right now! Their soup broth is so hearty and the meat is beyond fresh!!! High recommend the spicy, tomato and bone broth combo. As for the dishes love love love the fried pork, fresh pork meatballs, beef short rib and pork belly! Totally skip the beef balls and hand cut beef.“

“A friend recommended Jade Wok, and I'm so glad I decided to visit! Jade Wok has all-around delicious, authentic Chinese food. The inside is unassuming, but there's plenty of space. I was immediately seated when I entered on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered a variety of dishes to try. The string beans with garlic is a classic dish. I liked the crispiness of the beans, and the garlic flavor was fragrant. The shrimp with pepper salt was phenomenal. Every piece had a flaky exterior with a soft interior. The pepper salt added a nice kick to the shrimp. Jade Wok has a dish called "Homemade Best Tofu in Town." I would have to agree with the name of the dish - it was simply the silkiest, softest, best tofu in Chinatown and probably across Los Angeles. The tofu is freshly made and smothered in a savory, rich sauce. I would come back to Jade Wok solely for this tofu dish. I had such a delicious meal at Jade Wok, and I will definitely be returning in the future for another round of standout dishes!“

“First time here and very impressed with food; so fresh! I opted for water and hot tea to really taste this food. We were a party of 7 and received great service. Very nice and clean restaurant. The wonton with chicken broth soup was so good I forgot to take a pic. And Vegetable with tofu and baby bok choy soup very comforting. Szechuan Chinese food is my favorite type of cuisine for their spice, the chilis used are spicy! Stir fried noodles to balance the delicious Kung pao chicken. I give them a 10 on flavor and presentation. Excellent menu; there is something for everyone.“

“Ample parking and great Ugyhur food. We tried a variety of dishes and they came out fresh and with generous portions. We tried their big plate chicken which was tasty, the laghman was totally worth the visit as well. The manta was made fresh and delicious. The Ugyhur milk tea was also an experience, salty and buttery. I look forward to visiting again and trying more items.“

“A no-frills "fast food" spot. They have a very diverse menu consisting of American, Mexican, and Chinese food. I have yet to try any other item besides the burgers and fried zucchini, which I'm a fan of. The service is quick and your food is cooked to order. The burgers are a great size and delicious! Also, do yourself a favor and get the fried zucchini. The batter is nice and crispy, and the zucchini is sliced thick.“

“Super tasty and fresh, I’ve been here a few times and I’m finally leaving a review. I can taste that a lot of care and effort goes into the food here. Veggies are always fresh and never overcooked, meats/ proteins are great quality too.Recommendations?Broccoli chicken, orange chicken, cucumber salad, any of their soups. Don’t be afraid to venture out and try something new too, everything I’ve had is delicious!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetable options with clear labels on what includes meat!Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options on the menu, just ask and they will make it happen!Parking: Plenty of parking on orange grove, with a parking lot in the back- enter on Los RoblesKid-friendliness: The servers are very nice and attentive. A nice casual atmosphere to bring your family!“
“This is THE place to get popcorn chicken in the 626! I've been coming to P P Pop for awhile now and I have yet to have anything I didn't like. The popcorn chicken serving here is huge, and the chicken is really moist and flavorful. I get mild spice and it's pretty spicy imo! The beef noodle soup is also a favorite of mine. I love the chewiness of the noodles and the beef chunks always fall apart. The drinks are served in huuuge cups so that's also very worth the price. Service is always great and they're very comfortable speaking English.“

“Read about this place in the paper. Bae and I are always saying things like "we should explore the culinary delights of the sgv" but are often intimidated because we don't speak Chinese and have little familiarity with the cuisine beyond the white people Chinese restaurants of our respective coasts (she east, me west). We ordered from the internet even though we were there because we had our dog with us. The noodles were extremely, extremely good, the other ingredients (beef, chicken, veggies) were pretty standard. If i was to return I just get noodles straight up, I feel like the other stuff just distracts from the main event. Bae couldn't eat hers because she comes from a place (new england) where people say stuff is too spicy because there is PEPPER in the dish. Like, the pepper you have at your house. I cooked a dish with pepper once and her mom wouldn't eat it for that reason. Also the service was good, they actually called us because they were out of something we ordered and wanted to make sure they gave us a refund or something else.Unless you are a monster two people can split one dish here, any dish. If you order more than one dish per two people left overs are a given. Also, we drove around for an hour before we got home and the food was still warm.Vegetarian options: Noodles! Tofu!Dietary restrictions: Gluten!Parking: Free lot in the shopping plaza but lots of venerable people entering and exiting so be careful. Free street parking out front.Kid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“

“Came here on a Monday around 8 pm. Luckily we got a free meter right outside. The inside wasn't busy, only a few parties compared to the large grand space they had. The inside is bright with tall ceilings, carpeted floor, large round tables with lazy Susan's for groups and big comfy booths lining the walls. The women working were friendly and efficient. One spoke a bit of mandarin with me. The group ordered mostly American Chinese dishes that they enjoyed and nearly finished. I ordered xiao long bao for the table and they were pretty good for the price. They were piping hot and juicy. Hot tea was complimentary but their Thai tea also slaps! Would come again and try more things. Probably one of the better xiaolongbao and other dumpling deals in the area.“

“The best Chinese foods I've had in recent years. Someone had spoken highly about this place. So, today I tried it out with my family. All of us were completely impressed with the quality & taste of the 5 dishes we ordered, even their rice & tea tastes great :) Services were really good as well. It was worth the 40 min drive from LA. Definitely coming back again.“

“Looking for authentic Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine? There’s a hidden gem in San Gabriel that’s worth trying. They have some really spicy dishes but if you’re like me and can’t handle too spicy, they have some wonderful non-spicy options. Check out their lunch specials!Andrea, Jessica and the rest of the staff are wonderful with customers! They are so welcoming and attentive, treating everyone like friends and making the customers feel at home. They have separate rooms available and are perfect for parties as well. I love the outdoor patio area! Now, let’s talk about the food…Everything was absolutely delicious!! Big portion sizes as well. It was enough to feed me and my 2 boys and still have some food to take home. The Smoked Duck was tender and succulent! The Lamb Chops were fall off the bone tender and so flavorful! Love the crispy texture of the Stir-Fried Noodles with Beef. You can get them soft or crispy. The Diced Beef Tenderloin was our favorite!! So juicy and perfectly cooked! Great balance of flavors! There’s a small parking lot so you may need to park on the street. At first I wasn’t sure if I was at the right place, but it was lol So, if you just follow the directions, you’ll find it.We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back!“

“I stop here sometimes in the morning before work to get donuts for everyone. They're so good. It's just a woman and her husband and both of them are super nice and super helpful. I went in today with a friend of mine to get lunch and it was really good, really filling and affordable. The woman working seems to really care about the customers and will talk to them and remember little bits about them. If you're ever in Silverlake you have to stop here. Q“

“I googled "best Chinese in LA" and then this popped up as the #1 place. So we drove - and had a very good meal. However, if you expect the classic Chinese dishes, you will be disappointed. This is Shezuan, "a different animal". So no rice, no sweet-and-sour-this-and-that. So be prepared for very spicy Szechuan food. Noodles. No rice. Try the dumplings, they were delicious. We ordered mild (1 out of 5 spice degrees) and we were burning inside (we had two separate orders of dumplings - but spice grade 1. There is no consistency, so be careful). So if spicy is what you are "in" for, you'll love it. The ambiance is sort of authentic ;-) - the sign on how to use the toilet (outside the restaurant in the alley) says more than words. But then, it was $100 all-in for the four of us only. My advice: I could barely understand the service language. Better check the menu before you go. As we were first-timers, I wanted to share three starters and three mains among the four of us and leave it up to the waitress to make us explore - she did not understand. I asked if they served beer. The answer was "noodles or dumplings". :-)“
“Came here on a Saturday Night, very fascinating experience, their Chinese Barbecue are the most authentic I ever had in SGV area. Not only the food was good, the beer was relatively cheap compared to other places. Overall I would give a five star and definitely would go there again.“

“Amazing food, friendly service! The waitress explained how everything was and was super friendly. The soup came very quickly and it was absolutely delicious. There are several soup base flavors, I picked the sour/spicy one which reminds me of pickled veggie with fish soup, which I absolutely love. They also have small dishes, the potato strips are the best I've had in the US so far, they were thin and soft and reminded me of China.Prices were reasonable too!“

“One of my favorite Sichuan Pot in the area. They use plenty of food and sauce inside the broth. For the Fish fillet and Frog in Sichuan Mala Broth, it's the size for two people with many fish fillet and frogs inside the large pot. Though it's a little bit spicy, the proteins are pretty good with the fantastic taste. The staff told me that their boss asked them to add enough food to ensure customers' satisfaction. What a great experience of dining here. Attention to adjust the spicy level for any one of the pots.“

“I love this restaurant so much! It’s never as full as I think it should be; maybe people are intimidated by the DIY element? (It’s a build-your-own malatang / mala dry pot kind of spot.) The flavors are authentic and spicy (but you can dial down the spice if that’s not your thing.) there’s also a cash discount if you pay with cash.Parking: There is street parking in the neighborhood as well as a dedicated lot behind the restaurant (free).“

“If you come here expecting authentic Chinese food, then this is not the right place. After all, this is a chain. Having said that, the founders are multibillionaires so they must be doing something right. This is my go-to Panda Express. The line moves quickly, and if I order online, the food is always ready when I get there. Their chowmein and fried rice can be a little bit dry at times, but the orange chicken and Kung Pao chicken are always great.“
