“Chicken Day is my favorite fried chicken spot - I've been going for over a decade now having tried the best chicken in NYC, Nashville, and of course, LA and this is THE spot. So underrated. The original fried chicken is my favorite go-to with the sauce and extra radish but honestly, the entire menu is great - you can't go wrong.Parking: In a plaza, there's always a lot of spots. If not, you can just park in the streets, there are no meters so you never have to pay.“

“First time trying bb.q and will order again. I ordered the original boneless and was impressed with the flavor, crispiness and tenderness of the K fried chicken. It seemed a bit expensive at first (8 pieces for $19.19) but there were more than 8 pieces and I should have shared with my wife.“

“Best meat, drinks and service! Honestly the best kbbq I've had, I make the trek over from DTLA just to eat here. The employees are extremely attentive and generous. They kindly refilled my favourite side dishes multiple times without hesitation. I wasn't sure which beer to get and they gave me the perfect recommendation. Despite the restaurant being full, the ambiance is still decently quiet and relaxing. I can't recommend this place enough!!!“

“I am so happy to have found a real, authentic Korean soul food place near home. If you like a bit of sweet, umami, soy-sauce, chilli flake flavor, you MUST try here. Thank me later.Last year my husband and I tried the galbi-jjim and was pleasantly surprised with how much passion and soul was put into that single dish. Almost exactly the way that my grandmother would make it. They use only the freshest ingredients, and absolutely no "old" taste. Galbi-jjim was sweet, salty, and nice subtle kick to it.Today we tried the eundaegu, which is fish. Ohh my goodness. Just like last year, the ingredients are SO fresh! The fish, which normally in restaraunts are a bit old, a bit chewy, some even foul smelling, but here, the fish was cooked to perfection. So soft, no fishy smell, and you can slither(?) the fish meat right off the bone. It was amazing. Then once you get to the cooked radish? Wow. I asked for a to-go box to take home little of what was left of the radish because I wanted to eat it again when I get home.Must try.The owners and the chef are extremely sweet and caring. It's hard to find restaraunts with passion, but this is one of them. The way the owner was laughing and helping the kitchen crew, you can tell the workplace was healthy and nice. Will probably go back again in a few weeks :)“
“The original Baekjeong location has now changed to Origin Korean BBQ. The meat quality is excellent, and the barbecue is expertly done. Service was quick, and the prices are fair. The only downside is the buckwheat noodles; they're too tough in texture . Overall, I'm satisfied and definitely plan to return.“

“Was surprised at how large the serving size was at majordomo. We had ordered the smoked half bo saam, ibérico pork, and tuna carpaccio. All were so delicious, not a miss for any of them. The Bo saam was my favorite for sure, and we luckily had plenty leftover. I'd definitely recommend coming on an empty stomach to ensure that you're able to enjoy multiple dishes. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying the short rib. Overall this is a great place to come for a special occasion with a large group. Make sure to make reservations some time in advance!“

“After eating here for the first time, I told my brother (who I ate with) this is definitely the spot to bring the parents. A couple months later, we brought mom and dad. Enough said. Service and quality of food were really good. Highlights include marinated prime short rib, aged prime tenderloin, steamed egg, and Korean chimichurri sauce.“

“My favorite Korean spot in Los Angeles. Did some research online for good kimchi and discovered this place. Their kimchi is fantastic, but then I also discovered this entire meal. This is perfect comfort food. Sunday mornings. Rainy afternoons or pretty much anytime you need something soupy in your life.“

“This place was awesome. First of all, Lena our waitress was so kind and willing to explain the menu to us as this was our first time. The food was delicious, I recommend getting a combo so you can try many different things. Not only was the food good but the experience was amazing as well. Lena cooked the meats on front of us (she cooked them perfectly) and you could add seasonings and sauces. Additionally, the sides are brought by ROBOTS. My little sister loved this and couldn't stop giggling every time a robot came by and dropped of some kimchi which was free with the combo. 10/10 would recommend. We will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you Lena!“

“There are many Korean BBQ in Ktown and there is Daedo. Unique and exquisite... Definitely not your ordinary meat or meal you have experienced elsewhere. Every item served are meticulously prepared to perfection. Their Korean Radish kimchi (kkakdoogi) and dwenjang (fermented bean paste) is just out of this world amazing, they have a profoundly rich and complex flavor that can only be achieved through using only natural ingredients, traditional methods, and most importantly time. No corners were cut only the fat off the meat they served. I was very impressed. Keep up the great work!“

“The soup taste, quality, quantity, and side dishes including crab are definitely the best. However, I could be stressed because I was busy, but I felt bad when one of my aunts was unfriendly. Other servers brought it to me, but no matter what I asked for, they wouldn't give it to me... Still, this is the best soup in Koreatown.“

“Hangari proves time and time again that they're the best kalguksu you can get in so-cal! I've tried many kalguksu spots and Hangari's quality, portion size, textures, and flavors just can't be beat. My favorites are the chicken kalguksu and the spicy seafood kalguksu. I just recently found out you can make any of the soups spicy and discovered the joy of spicy chicken kalguksu. Their banchans are also well fermented and packed with tangy flavor that gets your mouth salivating! Parking is the only problem here, there's a small valet only lot and mostly street meter parking. Across the street H-mart has a lot, but you must purchase ~20bucks of groceries to get validated, and you're limited to 1 hour or you'll get charged additional! I wish there were more locations, I saw garden grove has a place with the same name, however the menu and dishes look completely different.“

“One of the best Korean barbecues in LA the meat is great quality. There could be a little bit of weight because they don’t take reservations, but it’s totally worth it. you can get a drink while you wait for your table. We always go in groups and get the beef combo that comes with a soup. The Wagyu is also really great.Parking: Depending on time of day, you might find street parking with meters or free street parking. the plaza also has limited parking spots.“

“Shout out to the person working at Old Style Guitars who recommended this place. It’s walking distance from Gold Diggers and Hollywood Forever (both great concert venues), and honestly some of the best eggplant I’ve ever had.The menu is simple and straightforward, with one vegan/vegetarian option. The tofu and eggplant bowl was insanely delicious. Huge portions, very reasonable price, and piping hot and fresh.I walked there and ordered from the cashier, and it was a ten minute wait for food. You can order online in advance for pick up from their website, and it seems like they do a ton of delivery. They gave me napkins, a fork, and soy sauce and sriracha packets, but I didn’t need them because it was seasoned and flavored perfectly. The tofu was melt in your mouth soft, not chewy at all, my favorite way of eating it. The in house pickled veggies were so good, and balanced the flavors in the dish. There were cashews for a crunch, and some onions and bok choy, all on a bed of fluffy white rice.I know LA has a ton of places to eat but I would definitely come back just for this bowl. After the rest of my group saw and smelled what I was eating, they all went to go order from there themselves and agreed it was delicious.Vegetarian options: The menu is super simple and there’s one vegan bowl but it’s incredible and totally worth it.“

“Wow! The best marinated pork ribs! Come on down to Jin Ju. It isn't an all you can eat spot, but you can't beat the quality. My friend and I decided to try the prime beef and the marinated pork ribs (which is their speciality). Both meats were very delicious. They pretty much cook your food for you. The beef was cut into nice cubes. They were cooked at a perfect medium rare. The prok ribs were also cut into pieces, as well. There was a good selection of 10 types of banchan: fishcake (eomuk bokkeum), sesame broccoli, kimchi, potato salad, cucumber kimchi (sigeumchi-namul), stir-fried glass noodles (japchae), korean spinach, pickled onions, bean sprouts (kongnamul), pancake (yachaejeon), and radish kimchi (kkakdugi) . And honestly, this spot has one of the better quality banchan sides. The japchae had so much flavor, and the potato salad was also good. I appreciated that they offered the pickled onions, which goes really well with the marinated pork. My friend was also excited that they had korean spinach, which most places don't have at all. We also ordered the red pepper paste soup. It was so good! Rick and full of flavor. There's enough seating for 2-6 people to each table. It's not too big of a spot, so if you're trying to get away from the long lined spots - this is the spot to be. Service is quick and friendly. There is free parking in the lot if you're lucky. If not, you can find free street parking.“

“We came here at around 8 o'clock on a Wednesday night, and we still had to queue up. The most exaggerating thing is that after we almost finished eating, it was already around 10 o'clock, and there was still a queue outside. This is enough to prove the popularity of this restaurant, and it turns out that it is really tasty. The quality of the beef here is really good, definitely not the ordinary AYCE, there are many choices, very tender and flavorful. My favorite is their marinated short rib, and brisket, must order! Another feature here is that the pot is made of stone instead of the traditional iron plate. It feels better to be heated and the roasted beef is also very tender.“

“low-key authentic Korean restaurant. The ahjumma was so nice to us!Food is great:banchan (side dishes) - lots of variety! I liked the seaweed, fish cake, kimchi radish, and bean sprouts.Specials #13 seafood pancake $19.99 - Good. Not overloaded with green onions. The sauce that came with it could have been saltier.Specials #9 chicken stew $25.99 - spicy! Chicken was cooked well. Lots of potatoes. The small bones are annoying.#22 stone pot bibimbap $14.99 - tasty. The ahjumma brought out a bowl of gochujang filled to the top. It was good and not too sweet.#9 chewy spicy noodles $13.99 - delicious. I'd get this again. Came with a soft boiled egg.Specials #12 stir-fried squid $24.99 - I'd get this again too. The rice cake was eh, but the squid was good. Not too spicy.Prices are a bit high, but so is everywhere else right now. The menu is extensive but has some solid favorites. They have a small parking lot in this plaza, so it wasn't hard to find at 7 PM on a week night. Typical of a local Korean joint, they post menu items with prices on the walls. Even better - they have pictures of the food!“

“Joseon is an excellent choice for a great date night in Silverlake, Los Angeles. The "less is more" ambiance is favorable, the music is not loud so conversations come easier, the staff is attentive, and the food is pretty special. The name gives the impression of a golden era of Korean dining, and an experience designed for royalty, and we definitely felt that throughout the night. My partner and I started with a cocktail/mocktail because they sounded unique (and they were). We ordered a 7 course and a 5 course, thinking that we could try to get a good variety when there were two options for some of the courses. We opted for wine flight pairing as well, and were surprised how well selected the options were. I'd recommend that a party of 2 orders the same number of courses, however, because we didn't always both get a course. We shared about everything though, so it ended up being fine. Also, knowing the process to expect for a 7 course meal will make a difference in how you appreciate the timing. Courses are spaced out by anywhere from 15-25 minutes, so expect to be in the restaurant for at least 2-2/12 hours, or more. We were at our table for just short of 3 hours, but we also talked with the staff a bit while enjoying an espresso with dessert. This kind of timing, in this context, is a good thing, because it means that the kitchen doesn't have a bunch of plates being pre-made then waiting to be delivered by wait staff who also have other tables to attend to. The chef freshly prepares each dish for your specific table, and then it's presented immediately. That makes for a top quality dining experience, where each of these dishes was not only a work of art but also presented for enjoyment, just as the chef and their team intends. We enjoyed the 7 courses! I think our favorite was the Braised Stew with Sea Bass, and the Rice Cake dish with Zucchini Blossom. The Sea Trout Tartare was also a nice way to start the meal. The aromas coming off many of those dishes was memorable. The dessert they brought wasn't on the menu, and came complementary for us, I don't know if they typically charge for dessert. One was some fresh cantaloupe with a special sweet sauce (they called it a palate cleanser), and one was an amazing rice pudding creme brûlée, it was an outstanding way to finish our evening. We will be back, next time we'll make it a double date!“

“Finally got the chance to try this dessert place after always passing by. I got the pure milk soft serve and 3 pieces of taiyaki in custard and red bean. The soft serve is a nice texture and it's very soft. The milk is a bit too sweet, in my opinion. And you can self serve on several toppings for the soft serve. The taiyaki is very good, just wish that it is a bit more crispy. They give a generous amount of filling inside the taiyaki. Inside is a small place. They only have a bench and a couple of stools. Overall, a great dessert place!“

“If you're looking for a laid-back atmosphere, a variety of beer options, and some good food; I recommend going here. There are a lot of tvs throughout, playing different sport games. You definitely get to see the eclectic nature of the koreatown community. The staff also reflects a relaxed attitude but they're also attentive when it comes to refills or new orders. I'm not a fan of their cocktails, but some food suggestions are their KFC, Kimchi Fried Rice Plate, and their wings! And then most people, I've gone with, enjoy the different beer options.“

“This has been my go-to place for Korean comfort foods for almost a decade! I bring my closest friends and family here to enjoy the fresh abalone congee and various Korean soups. They hit especially hard on colder nights. The restaurant, which has held its ground since 1974, is rather unassuming, simple, with all focus put into the food. Some of the other restaurants might seem more popular and crowded, but this is the true gem of Koreatown. Aunty Kim is such a sweetheart! She puts her heart and soul into every aspect of your experience. She treats everyone just like family and creates a friendly ambiance for everyone to enjoy. The menu might seem like it has only a few options, but trust me when I say, these are POWERHOUSE dishes that are absolute perfection. The parking situation can be rather intense, so it's best to use the Vallet service or pray for street parking.“

“After success with the jajiang noodles, I had to try the stall right next door. Inside the fantastic Hmart market, is Kazu Mori. I’d say Katsu is there specialty with pork and chicken. I had the pork tonkatsu with curry. Huge portions and so good. I actually thought I was a bit pricey bit after I saw the quality and portions, I reconsider. Also, not a Bricks and mortar saves a bit.I think the key is to get a bunch of people and order two or three items from each stall. The choice are fantastic.“

“My former colleague from Daycare job and I met up here to dine in on Dec/5/23 on my day off. What delish treats these Korean Rice Plates are!!!! Customer service was topnotch and right off the bat when we were having a hard time deciding if we wanted to fetch their Holiday Korean Dumpling deal at $29.99 for a frozen bag and 4 packs of mixed and matched dumplings. I had to get me a set so my mom and I can reduce cooking time this holiday month of Dec/23. Anyways, I ordered their Korean Rice (Beef) plate to go, and that was huge and delish, good enough for 2 meals. I was only able to chow down half of it. This was our first time here, and we both had a fabulous time here. We will meet back here again next time visiting 'Manduyo,' Authentic Korean Cuisine. Even your side salad dish that was included in the plate was all fresh: there was nothing bitter from any piece of salad veggies I ate. The breakfast sandwich had really fluffy soft scrambled eggs and the brioche was a nice bite. “My visit to 88 Hotdog was an unexpectedly delightful culinary adventure, especially for someone with a penchant for creatively crafted fast food. Nestled in a bustling, crowded area where parking can be a bit of a treasure hunt, this gem stands out for its unique offerings and commendable service.Starting with the mozzarella corn dog, it was a standout in both size and flavor, offering great value for its price. The corn dog was perfectly crispy on the outside, with a gooey, stretchy mozzarella center that was both satisfying and indulgent. It’s the kind of treat that brings a smile to your face with each bite, blending the nostalgic essence of a classic corn dog with a cheesy twist that elevates it to a whole new level. The adventure didn't stop there; the yogurt drinks were a revelation in their own right. I indulged in a variety of flavors - peach, mango, blueberry, and pineapple - each one more refreshing and flavorful than the last. These drinks had a perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, with the fruit flavors shining through beautifully. They were not just good; they were exceptional, adding a refreshing contrast to the savory richness of the corn dog.The service at 88 Hotdog deserves a special mention. Despite the crowded location, the employee was friendly, efficient, and quick to serve, making the overall experience even more pleasant. It's always a breath of fresh air to encounter service that is both warm and competent, especially in fast-paced environments. While the parking situation and crowded surroundings might deter some, the culinary delights and the cheerful service at 88 Hotdog make it well worth the effort. It's a small price to pay for the joy of biting into a delicious mozzarella corn dog and sipping on exquisitely flavored yogurt drinks. For anyone in the area or those willing to brave the parking challenge, 88 Hotdog is a must-visit spot that promises a satisfying and tasty experience.“

“Very decent korean bbq spot in LA. We made a reservation for an easy check in and was seated indoors. Since it was our first time we ordered the Mun's Choice which came with four meats and some sides. It was a bit pricey for $60 a person. In my opinion the best cuz was the rib eye, which was tender and paired well with the red wine salt. The other meats were nothing special or unique and similar to other kbbq places. Some of them were a bit chewier than others. Same with the sides and todu soup, nothing special. They do cook for you here and our server always made sure we were ok! The outdoor patio lookes spacious and fun and definitely something we may come back for as I heard if was a different menu. Parking was also easy as they provided information on their IG which I really appreciated !!“
