“Always delicious sushi. The fish just melts in your mouth. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. My favorite sushi place. Great atmosphere, family friendly.”
“How have I not tried this place yet??? Went there for lunch with a friend on Monday. I love Greek food and always up to try a new spot. Pylos was wonderful! For lunch I had the seafood souvlaki which was delicious. Nice big shrimp and pieces of salmon in a warm, fresh pita with just the right amount of tzatziki sauce. Comes with a salad and they were kind enough to out the dressing on the side. My friend had one of the gyro wraps and she loved it. They also have Greek French fries which I have heard are amazing. Unfortunately, my current eating plan does not include them but there is always a next time! Service was very friendly and prompt. They have a nice inside restaurant and a great outside setup with heat lamps. Yay! Hubby loves Greek too so we will definitely be back (I'm going to steal his fries ).”
“We really enjoyed our meal. We came at opening and got a window table. Water appeared soon, as well as delicious bread with olive oil and balsamic. We had truffle fettuccine, caprese and roasted Brussels sprouts. Chianti was great too. Place is clean and airy with kitchen hidden away so you don't feel like you are in the canteen, like Vivace for example. I also appreciated change of utensils between courses- such rare touch these days. We will be back!”
“We've been going to Fiddler's in Millbrae for many years so this is a nice secondary place to visit a little closer. Always fresh food and a good pint. A favorite of ours for sure.”
“Wow this place is AMAZING. Loved their food. I’ve never had spam musubi with pork sung in the rice. I got the wagyu beef and galbi combo and they were delicious as well! Too bad I live far from here.”

“The 2nd best pastrami sandwich I’ve had. $25 for a sando set the bar REALLY high for me, so had to give it 4 instead of 5 stars. Still, super tasty, enjoyed every bite. Went perfectly with the mustard on the table. Friendly staff.”
“We ordered the oxtail stew which was VG, served over risotto with veggies. Two friends ordered the prefixed lunch for $20 which was bbq ribs, veggies, and mashed potatos. Not a big order but they were satisfied. We would definitely go back to try other dishes off the menu. Give this place a try.”

“Very good Indian food and cocktails. Not completely typical north Indian food but not crazy innovation like at Rooh which is weird. Enjoyed the food here.Vegetarian options: As an Indian restaurant there are quite a few vegetarian dishes.Parking: There is a large parking garage a few blocks away.”

“A nice spot for some drinks, music & rotating food carts. It gets busy so plan accordingly. There is a reasonable amount of parking but again… fills up. Numerous drink options — some tasty sours, hazy & IPAs. The food cart items can be hit or miss.”

“I can't believe it took me so long to try the pizza here! I thought it'd be just another pizza place, but I was so wrong. Weirdly enough, we ended up ordering here because we wanted boneless chicken wings and this place had some. So we ordered the boneless chicken wings and a pizza (half Tuscan Garlic, which has a white sauce base, and the other half was a custom request of a white sauce base with salami). And WOW. The white sauce is so deliciously creamy, and the toppings tasted so fresh and were just bursting with flavor. Even the crust is yummy. The chicken wings were delicious too (they're shaped more like balls, fyi). They have a thick crispy breadcrumb style coating. I like dipping them in the white garlic sauce that came with it.”
“Excellent quality of coffee, I remember drinking my first cup and literally travel back to Perú, if you are a coffee lover and have knowledge about it, this is the place. Thank you to the owner for ground my coffee beans and being so kind.”
“Nice, clean old school restaurant that has been well maintained. My server was nice & efficient and the service was great, a nice menu selection for breakfast or other meals and the food was very good. I would definitely come back here for more! (Update -- I came back again the next day!)”

“Top notch food and service! Wild boar pasta and cod stew are exceptional. Home style type of food and comfort. A true southern Italian gem. I am a regular here and Delizie never disappoints. Family style operation and very welcoming. Thank you for amazing experiences all the times : ))”
“Food was very good. Was with a vegetarian friend and they had a lot of options. Service was fast and friendly. Loved the classic flavors and their drink menu was really fun!”
“I'm from Boston and am by no means an expert in Mexican food, but this place has the best fish tacos I've ever eaten. How can I return home to the second best tacos? They are not a close second.”

“I met a colleague for lunch at Cusk Wine Bar and the overall experience was great. We both had the Warm Napa Cabbage salad which was very good. The service was great and the overall ambiance was very good. I thoroughly recommend this neighborhood gem.”

“Awesome takeover event on Saturday woth so cal beers. Beertenders were helpful and chill. Regulars were super friendly amd talkative. Chopped it up with Ruby because we were in close quarters and enjoyed her beer knowledge. Good times, would pop in frequently if I lived near but will settle on stopping for a cold one when traveling. Fire but expensive pastrami next door, too”

“The sliders were great, with incredibly good slaw. The pork and katsu were just perfect. I didn’t love the potato salad; not a big fan of olives in that personally. But I can’t wait to go back to get those sliders again.”
“A friend and I had a lovely, lengthy lunch. The service was very good (they were very patient with us as we were busy getting caught up and they didn't rush us to order or to leave), and the food was very good.”
“My FAVORITE coffee shop by far. Cutest interior, the vibes are so good. I love their lattes and seasonal flavors (hazelnut and lavender are both SO good). The acai bowls, coffee, and baked goods are all top notch delicious. Baristas are so nice and friendly, perfect coffee spot.”
“Wow blown away by the food here, I have been trying various Mediterranean foods around South Bay and peninsula, I had the beef and kofta skewer with couscous and babaganoush , everything was just far better than anything I have tasted, and I’m very picky eater , and I’m rating about a take outHands down best Mediterranean food in bay I have tastedI’ll be coming back for the falafels”
“It’s your friendly neighborhood breakfast diner…we picked this place because it’s close to the freeway and we had flown into SFO with a bit of a drive home to Monterey. We were desperate for breakfast so we rolled the dice and picked a spot based on location. The breakfast gods were smiling upon us this morning. I had the OBAMA omelette (olives, bacon, artichokes, mushrooms, American cheese). My husband had a sausage and cheese omelette. My toddler had the kids French toast. We all joined the clean plate club. The omelettes were perfectly constructed, beautifully wrapped around a generous heap of our chosen toppings. The good came out fast and hot and was absolutely delicious. The servers were cheerful and pleasant and it had all the feels of a local neighborhood favorite. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely keep this gem in our back pocket when we’re traveling to and fro SFO.”
“The portions are generous enough that I always know I have leftovers for my next meal. The hostess is the daughter of the proprietor and she is bubbly and very helpful, especially if you want recommendations.Update (2024): The food and service are still fantastic. The portions are still large and if you are in a large group and let them know that you're doing family-style, they plate the rice and roht separately -- very helpful.Sidenote: Kids love roht! And the kid-size sherbet.”
“We tried the 8-hour bolognese, the local black cod, and the citrus burrata. They were absolutely perfect, no seasoning was needed. Everything was locally fresh, impressive, and yet so familiar; great setting for perfect comfort food in a family-owned restaurant. We regret we didn’t try their signature Dungeness crab pasta and that will be something for another visit. This experience was an excellent surprise on our work trip.”
“This was the best Thai food I ever had. It was sort of like Chinese style on the portion size of each dish it's sharing dish. Fried fish was my favorite it was very delicious, it's must have! It has sweetness to it, it balance out. The spicy fish soup was very spicy but it's spicily good! I asked medium spicy but it still pretty spicy so if you cannot handle the spiciness don't get medium level, get lower level for your comfort. The chicken was also pretty good, with their in house peanut dressing, paring very well together. I got the Chai Tea. Their food overall is great very delicious. The server is good, but little bit of English barrier but that's no issue at all that is also mean the food is good. And it was!”
“Hapa’s is such a great addition to the lively San Carlos downtown area. Really solid beer selection, some non-beer options if beer is not specifically your thing, tasty food (the exact kind you’re looking to pair alongside a beer), really great staff, and a pretty big open-feeling space, especially when the weather is nice. Highly recommend.”
“Love this place, always a spot to sit, always a good rotation of food, and their beer is the best. Their Scotch Ale is my all time fav, but they have a special peated Scotch Ale that I’m craving.”
“My San Carlos spot for a sandwich. Service is efficient. The sandwiches are yummy and hits the spot. Would recommend ordering online first and picking rather than ordering and waiting for pickup.”
“The sliders were great, with incredibly good slaw. The pork and katsu were just perfect. I didn’t love the potato salad; not a big fan of olives in that personally. But I can’t wait to go back to get those sliders again.”

“This place has delicious Peruvian food. I got the fish ceviche and was not disappointed. It was spicy and fresh. The maracuya juice is also very refreshing and delicious.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian saltado is delicious.”
“LOVE! The food and wine are great. They have a lovely, dog friendly outdoor patio. The service is always good. The Sommelier is knowledgeable and friendly. Best gluten free pizza I've ever had. The pastas and pizzas are incredible. They also have a fun brunch menu!”
“My Dad grew up in the South, so this food (down to the bottle of Crystal hot sauce) is what I grew up with. Now that he's passed, I turn to this place when I'm in need of a little comfort food. It's traditional Creole cuisine, but elevated with top quality ingredients and precision preparation.Vegetarian options: Wild Mushroom Jambalaya, cornbread muffins, hush puppiesDietary restrictions: Lots of GF options”
“Met a long time friend for lunch at Spasso. Valerie was our server. Very nice & professional. Gave us all the time we needed to catch up & order & eat. Felt bad that there were hardly any customers for lunch. We must support our local businesses any time we can. I shall return to enjoy their food & good service. Love their warm cabbage salad with chicken added.”
“I'm so happy we got to celebrate a family member's birthday at Rustic House! The staff is really attentive & friendly. The food was really good (aside from one menu item, but when we told them, they helped us remedy the issue immediately). We were really lucky & ate early enough that there weren't too many other patrons (which felt very safe from the perspective of trying to avoid unnecessary germs). The appetizers we ordered were delicious (we ordered the ceviche, the calamari, & the mussels & clams). The octopus salad was delightful, as was the beet salad with salmon & the fish tacos. The ice cream flight was the perfect birthday treat during Passover. Definitely happy we dined there & will hopefully be returning some time in the near future.”
“Walking with a friend on Laurel Street we stopped in for a glass of Champagne and a Cheese Plate. Seating at the bar was comfortable, friendly bartender, an entire wall of wine you will surely find the perfect accompaniment to anything on the menu. Atmosphere was relaxed, casual and service en pointe. Parking can be difficult especially on weekends.”
“Amazing place! Great service and ambiance. I feel that I could hang out here all night if they didn't have a closing time. I ordered a Pina Colada style cocktail and it was made to perfection! Hope to come back soon. Highly recommend this bar!”
“I have been wanting to try this place for years and keep forgetting about it as it is located in a small strip mall on the other side of the tracks (literally) so I tend not to think of that side of town for dining.I was greeted immediately and sat at the bar. I have favorites I like to order in order to gauge the quality of the place and chef.First, the disappointment: the futomaki was plain, uninspiring, and plain dull. Not worth the $14. And a futomaki is a traditional roll that allows for a lot of creativity. I have had some stellar futomakis. Not so here.I had a bottle of junmai ginjo at $24 dollars. It was smooth... almost too smooth. The rice polish is 55%, same as one of my favorites, Kikusui junmai ginjo that has more distinct characteristics. While I have no complaints per se, I would look for something else next time. The nigiri was very good. Good taste, generous cuts/portion size, and the uni was great. Very fresh. Thank you Santa Barbara!I'd give the place a 4.5 to be more fair. I'll be happy to go back, but with more realistic expectations.”
“Nice little spot on El Camino, I enjoyed the decor of the booths. Netted Prawns were a good appetizer, Tom Yum was O.K., Pad See-Ew was very nice, Green Curry Halibut was my favorite, Tamarind Prawns were interesting, Panang Curry Chicken was spot on. I'd say 4.5, gotta round up... I did go back the very next day?.”
“I have tried many Chinese restaurants and this by far is one of my favorites. Not only do they give you huge portions unlike other Chinese restaurants. Their dishes are delicious they have so much flavor and I've never been let down once. For their spicy dishes I'd order extra spicy because they're regular spicy dishes aren't that spicy to me but I also love spicy food and I'm very tolerant to it. If you've never tried this place you have to try it literally it's one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Bay areanow next on my list is the Mongolian beef chowmane which I'm sure I won't be disappointed.”
“We have enjoyed King Chuan in San Carlos for almost twenty years. Susan and her staff are always attentive and the food is excellent. Favorites include Hunan Chicken, authentic pot stickers, and han gen chicken.”
“Went for Easter brunch. Service was great. Food was great. They have some interesting combos on brunch dishes, and everyone in our group enjoyed theirs. The only suggestion is slightly bigger portions, but prices are reasonable, so ne real complaint there.”

Takeout Restaurants
“Fantastic family friendly spot with amazing food. The shrimp and grits app was delicious and the grits were like a polenta cake and had great flavor. The pizza was thin with a little char and good crust. Cesar salad had a really good dressing and was very fresh. The Chicken Parmesan had great flavor, nice lightly breaded chicken with spaghetti. Can't wait to go back and try some more.Kid-friendliness: Lots of families enjoying dinner.”
“I had a fantastic experience at Starbucks! My coffee was prepared exactly as I like it, and the warm breakfast sandwiches were a delicious addition. Despite the bustling atmosphere, both in the drive-through and inside the store, Gabby's customer service was outstanding. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor made my visit truly enjoyable.”
“I LOVE coming here for lunch when I'm craving greens/ something healthy ! I always build my own salads but they also have house designed options (salads, soups and sandwiches) as well. They have a huge selection of ingredients that you can choose from which are always super fresh. The service is very friendly , helpful and fast . They have indoor and outdoor seating and the restaurant is also very clean. I highly recommend this place to everyone :)”
“Decided to be the first stop on my business trip.We planned our schedule starting with the famous hamburger restaurant. The burger tasted good, and although it wasn't healthy, it gave me a lot of energy all at once.”
“This location is super clean and well laid out with a few seats, well designed and laid out, tons of free parking, given it's located in a strip mall, across from TJ Maxx and next to a Starbucks. I went in today and was super motivated to get one of their smoothies, parched with thirst and despite it being freezing cold and windy, it really would've hit the spot. I don't know or understand what the latest thing is with so many restaurants and food/drink places where they have menu with boards on top of your head, or the scanning with your phones where you can only read the menu on the phone. I must be old fashioned and showing my 61 years of age because I want and need a real menu, either peper or laminated or something where I can hold, touch and feel it, because it enables me to properly take my time and read it. If I have to squint and strain my already myopic astigmatic eyes with my coke bottle eyeglasses, I'm straining to reas the fine print, and frankly, by the time, I'm done with the heavy lifting of straining just to read th damn thing, I'm done. I'm just freaking done. I don't want the food or the drink anymore, I'm irritated and frustrated with the simple process of ordering which has now become an ordeal and harder than if I'd made the damn thing myself. To be fair, the customer service here was really friendly and helpful but it was just one of those days where I needed a real menu. Geez what a codger I've become.”
“Interesting and exotic dishes. I have tried some of their salads and they are quite good. The herring salad is out of this world. I also like their noodles, rice, and meat dishes. They have a few desserts that all look very delicious, and I have tried one of them but don't remember which. I will have to find a chance to try more of it.”
“YUMMY! Located outside San Carlos 24 Hour Fitness. We tried carne asada tacos and lingua borritos. Both were excellent, tender, tasty, and juicy. Curtido was perfect too. Will try tripe and pupusas next time. Friendly service and great food.”
“You order at a counter then sit down. Cute cafe ambiance and fun food options. The service is fine but not a highlight. Fun place for a low key breakfast or lunch.”
“I love me some custard from Rita's. Now that my son is two years old, we took him to Rita's for a treat after dinner, and it was so cute watching his face light up as he got a Rita's sugar rush! I'm someone who sticks to her regular stuff, so I haven't ventured outside of custard. However, my husband has purchased and enjoyed the Italian ice and one of their shakes. He enjoyed both. The only thing Rita's needs is mor seating. It can get pretty cramped on summer nights. We love you and your custard, Rita girl!”
“Very good gelato for an after dinner treat in San Carlos! I love how they give you a little dipped cookie and the flavors are fun! Kid friendly and they have some tables if you want to eat inside. They also have fun looking dipped ice creams, but I haven't tried them yet!”
“Came here for lunch during work hours to vent about coworkers. The Broadway sandwich changed my mood thats for sure! The place wasn't busy when we placed our order but it was a quick wait to get our food. I'll be coming back here!”
“A little pricey, but food quality is always great. Service too. Like that they are the local business - additional reason to eat here and support them , rather in some franchise or corpo place.”
“This is our favorite sushi's restaurant, the service always Great! Even if we order to go they even offer tea, and y daughter's love it!! So yes do yourself a favor and try our local restaurant in san carlos great place for a great sushi!!”
“Our go to stop on our Saturday and Sunday walk. The coffee and bagels are good, and the service is excellent. Nice friendly atmosphere for locals, and pretty busy at times, which is good.”
“Charming, with nice selection of wines. We enjoyed the appetizers. They were all good anfmd the charcuterie was really nice. Looking forward to next time, catching live music.”
“Love this place. I come here with friends, the service is nice and the food is delicious, my favorite is the drinks, the cocktails are so refreshing, it's the best place for girls' night out.”

“Their green salsa shmackzzz you NEED to put it on everything make sure you get a burrito with Jitomate.Kid-friendliness: They were very kind hearted to everyone.”
“I have been in customer service industry for over 30 years. And i always make a point to recognize good customer service when i see it. I have been to this Subway a few times for their catering service and have been very impressed and pleased with the service we received from Biplov. He is consistently very friendly, professional and great to work with. Thank you for the great service.”
“Quite a delicious carne asada burrito. The meat was tender and well spiced. It was as if I was eating a plate of Mongolian beef but instead of those juices and spices, it was more of a adobo asada style but Mexican. I feel like this review might not appeal to most readers but trust this local business is serving a burrito con mucho sabor.”
“This place was great. They could maybe use some more flavors but I can't hate when the service and taste meets far past what I'd vision. I wasn't expecting as great as it was. I had that cinnamon nitro cold brew and it was great. They have a cool seating area too.”
“Always a five star Meal. The best Taqueria in the Redwood City, San Carlos Belmont area. I drive from out of town a couple of times a month and I always have to stop here to eat. Highly recommend the PRAWN taco.”
“First time here. What great food! Fresh, not greasy Will be back for sure. Service is great. They are so nice here”
“Went in for lunch on a Monday, and we were able to order at the counter without a wait. The food tasted so fresh and was very flavorful. Like most places, Lulu's can't guarantee cross-contamination of gluten free items won't occur, but I felt comfortable as a celiac because most things are gluten free aside from the flour tortillas.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan dishes markedDietary restrictions: Gluten free dishes marked”
“Places like La Hacienda used to be all over the Bay Area, now this restaurant is the last of the few great family ran restaurants that serve up really good Mexican food. A true gem in the bay.”
“This has been my go to bar in San Carlos for a long time. Good drinks for a fair price pool and shuffle board. I wish I had bought this place years ago as it's a good reminder of what San Carlos was back in the day. Locals who like to talk about anything related to the town, real estate or technology. Friday and Saturday night becomes rookie night with people who don't know how to order drinks and pay, bar etiquette is a lost art as some of these reviews show. Dive bars are like someone's home, learn to peacefully co exist and follow the rules, do that simple task and you should have a good time. I was there last week, ordered a bunch of drinks from the bar, told the ignorant patron to bear with me and keep the space open so I could remove my drinks, but clueless Tecchie guy moved right in where my drinks were, I had to physically move the rookie, so I could get my drinks to my friends then he could chat with his co worker as much as possible. Painful. Bartender's and drinks were great!!! If I could get a job here I would jump at it.”

“"Sounds fishy" tastes wayyy better than it sounds haha. The menu has interesting options and funny names. They've got a crepe for your sweet tooth or if you like savory. Fresh ingredients. Mine was stuffed with spinach - love it. Maybe would be better with some sauce? The "want smore" Nutella one is nice and creamy as well. The indoor seating is very limited and there were kids all over the place lol... outdoor seats are a bit better but chilly.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian availableKid-friendliness: Kids menu”
“I only took out coffee, but the iced Americano was really delicious and the staff was friendly. And there are so many seats that you can come here to study (there are also many seats with charging cords inside).I only ordered coffee to take out. Iced Americano was so delicious and not pricey. This place was so huge. When I visited here, it was around 2-3pm and not many people were there. There are some seats outside as well. Also, the employees were friendly.”
“Good vegiterian option. Try the fried rice and pad kee mow. The tofu gonger was nice too.Vegetarian options: They have a large variety of vegan or vegetarian option.”
“A San Carlos tradition. Regulars flock here to enjoy warm conversation over freshly brewed coffees from around the world and an assortment of fresh pastries. The owner is warm, hard-working and trusting as customers go behind the counter to refill their cups while pondering their next reply to the friendly debate amongst friends. I encourage you to gather friends and begin your own tradition. Or come alone, as I, and take in the warm and inviting atmosphere and top notch coffee and fare.”

Felt bad that there were hardly any customers for lunch. We must support our local businesses any time we can. I shall return to enjoy their food & good service. Love their warm cabbage salad with chicken added.”

“First time here. What great food! Fresh, not greasy Will be back for sure. Service is great. They are so nice here”
“Bubble Yum, Pop Rocks and Chico sticks. KC & the Sunshine Band crackling from the AM radio of an El Camino parked out front. This is The Little Store as I experienced it circa 1974 in 4th grade. Groups of Arundel and TL kids in and out all afternoon . My friends and I sharing snacks (as much as our pooled change could afford that day) while sitting on the stairs before our brutal treks up the SC hills home. No cell phones. No rides. Lots of fun memories & great friends. Decades later I’m back in the neighborhood and while much has changed, the Little Store hasn’t (it even smells the same). Still friendly owners, and still a convenient stop when driving home or on neighborhood walks for sweet treats, a six pack, or essentials. And for many of us nostalgic touchstone.”
“We highly enjoy working with Angie and the delivery drivers! They are kind, fast, and very accommodating to our needs, respectful, hard working and on time. They go above and beyond. Their food choices are very kid friendly, fresh, and meets state standards. (Which takes that pressure from us.) The kids enjoy a lot of the options. I recommend them! Thank you Lunch Masters!!”
“Amazing, delicious, flavorful, I love it, I want more; those are the words that my little child used to describe the food he ate. He is not wrong, everything we had to eat was delicious and well prepared. We all know children are the hardest to please when it comes to food.”

“Decided to be the first stop on my business trip.We planned our schedule starting with the famous hamburger restaurant. The burger tasted good, and although it wasn't healthy, it gave me a lot of energy all at once.”
“Really great food and wine in San Carlos. We originally wanted to go to Blueline, but they were closing at 8:00pm and it was already past 7, and it didn’t look very busy. Doppio Zero looked very inviting and was decently busy for a Wednesday night. We got to sit in a cozy corner booth. It took a while for our server to get to us which we didn’t mind but service wasn’t super quick. We ordered the pear salad, very tasty arugula with pear, feta and pepitas and was enough for 3 to share. The fungo pizza was delicious with a crispy thin crust and great flavor. The short rib fettuccini was very rich and perfectly al dente. Finally, the panna cotta for dessert was smooth and creamy. The blueberries were ok, a little chewy but overall a great dessert. Would love to come back here!”
“Make sure to call and make a reservation for dinner or brunch!! We came in on a Wednesday and didn't realize they host a trivia night! We didn't participate but it seemed fun. Overall liked the extensive menu but unfortunately they were out of appetizers and wine I asked for. That being said the seasonal salad was fantastic!! the service was also prompt and very friendly. Would like to go back and check out brunch”
“Finally got a chance to try this place for the first time. It was a beautiful sunny weekend. Strolling on Laurel in San Carlos passing by this place, their patio was just so inviting so we couldn't help sitting down in those cozy leather chairs, our dogs could also comfortably stretch out and relax. They have a huge overhang so it's all protected. They have a couple low table cozy leather sofa chair seating, also a few high tables with an industrial rustic style I would say, which is super nice and modern. This is a true pizza place. They have a very attractive menu with all the DIY pizza options. Our pizza came out super colorful and soooooo delicious! They made the thin crust truly very thin which I love. We also orders the classic Greek salad, it's a huge portion and pretty good too. He said he likes his beer. The service is quick and attentive. I asked for extra olive oil to drizzle on the pizza and salad she brought it out right away. It was such an enjoyable experience there. We'll definitely go back soon.”
“Delicousss! Best cheesesteak and burger you can have! You can not find a better cheesesteak in the Bay Area that will beat this place. People mention that they are new owners, but those who say are not a regular. Same great taste, same good vibe just with a revamped interior!”
“Friendly staff, yummy food, excellent service. Flavors reminded me of authentic indo-chinese food from India. They are masters in slicing/dicing and chopping, loved the amazing fine cuts to all the veggies.Ignore the -ve reviews, know that this is an Indo-chinese place, not mainland chinese. We saw a few asian folks walk in (ask for beef, pork) and then leave. I think the sign (with mandarin characters) outside makes them think that this is an authentic chinese place. Well, folks need to do their homework before entering. Keep up the great work, RHCP, we will be back.”
“Went for Easter brunch. Service was great. Food was great. They have some interesting combos on brunch dishes, and everyone in our group enjoyed theirs. The only suggestion is slightly bigger portions, but prices are reasonable, so ne real complaint there.”
“You order at a counter then sit down. Cute cafe ambiance and fun food options. The service is fine but not a highlight. Fun place for a low key breakfast or lunch.”
“Scrumptious, yummy food, with balanced portions that made me full enough without feeling bloated. We order pork belly, steaks, and sides to share. I really enjoyed the carrots, and love how they sliced our cuts for us. Watching the wagyu being cooked was fun, too. We also had some cocktails, which had really fun cups for each type of drink, and were all pretty delicious, though sweet. I found it interesting that we had to ask for bread service, but I guess it’s not an olive garden or anything so ?. Also, if we got too full on bread I don’t think we’d appreciate the meal as much. Lastly, we shared some cake and I had an Affogato, which I appreciated they had decaf espresso; I didn’t know that was a thing. I reserved the table on open table, I think, and added that it was for a birthday and asked for desert for the birthday boy. I was surprised that they brought our table a round of Prosecco, and gave the birthday boy a crème brûlée with a candle. ? Oh, and they change the menu every couple months, so just check if you’re pining for something in particular if that’s a deal breaker or not to choosing this restaurant. It was quite empty on a Thursday evening, and the food is pricey, but we left feeling satisfied and happy we chose Taurus.”
“It’s a bit pricey. Been there a handful of times. Full bar, good cocktails. Drunken prawns for appetizer were great! Tried the prime rib, New York steak and the skirt steak. Skirt steak is by far my favorite. Don’t really care for the cheesy potatoes but like their cream spinach, broccoli and any side salad. They charged us $5.99 for bread which we did not know about until the bill came and we hadn’t requested any. Key lime pie for dessert was really good too. Service is always top notch! I will be back and will tell them next time to hold the bread.Parking: As always be sure nothing valuable is visible in your car and lock it up tight. There have been reported car break ins in their lot.”
“Very good gelato for an after dinner treat in San Carlos! I love how they give you a little dipped cookie and the flavors are fun! Kid friendly and they have some tables if you want to eat inside. They also have fun looking dipped ice creams, but I haven't tried them yet!”
“I love this place! They are always so attentive and nice when we come in. The food is always delicious and comes out at a reasonable time. The deep dish is always a good choice! Beer is good and honestly prices are great! Definitive give it a try.”
