“Had our wedding anniversary dinner at The Mountain House with our children. What a truly memorable evening! From the food, the view of the forest, and most importantly the service, all were top notch! Really deserve a 5-star rating. No less.”

“Outdoorsy and spacious community cafe. I really enjoy the vibes here. This cafe is community based and the hours are typically from 8-1 or 8-3. The kind gentlemen have me the WiFi info before purchasing anything. I'm not sure if there's inside seating as this cafe seems to be a part of a church. Customer service provided by John was top-notch! He really took his time with his customers and drinks to make sure everyone was happy. I appreciate the small chats and accommodations! Parking was a little difficult. Only about 6-7 spots in the front. Really a community cafe. Would be back if I were to grab coffee with a friend but I wouldn't exactly advocate to work here since I prefer the convenience of being indoors when I work. Nonetheless, I'd recommend this place!”
“I remember the Pioneer Saloon from when I lived in the Bay Area and worked in Silicon Valley. I came there with friends over a few decades and enjoyed the live music. And, way back in 1975, my brother, Tom Martin, was a first live music performer at the Pioneer Saloon. Tom is still a singer songwriter performer.”

“In the middle of nowhere. We had brunch... Maple syrup French toast to experience and relive. For fans of motorcycle cars... prices that are not excessive. A setting in the middle of the woods, Californian nature in all its splendor”
“It’s a college, so keeping expectations in check. The food is priced for students, basic fare, nothing fancy but good. I would say made like home. Nothing more, nothing less. The view is fantastic if you sit outside. Beautiful vista. It was enjoyable.”
“It is a small local winery located in the Santa Cruz Mountains.Unlike most other wineries, it is located on top of the mountain. I think the founder came here because he wanted a cool climate. It's better to dress a little thick because it's on top of the mountain.Since it's a small winery, the vineyard is rather small. There is not a lot of wine produced every year. In a way, it's a rare wine that you can't find anywhere else. The view down the mountain is very cool. You can taste and buy wine in the shop. Lexington 2014 vintage was tasted and bought. It was pretty good. Thomas Fogarty brand chardonnay 1998 vintage wine was selected also with an affordable price. Vintage 1998 is the taste of pain in Korea, which almost ruined the country due to the economic crisis. I should share it together at the wedding celebration of my best friend since pain is one of strong taste of marriage.”

“I’ve been going to Bucks since I was a child, before big Tech took over my hometown and sent the cost of living forever skyward. It’s the perfect place for anyone with a wild imagination. Every inch of the walls are lined with bizarre trinkets and curiosities.I was recently was visiting and happened to stop by for breakfast. Unfortunately I missed the cutoff by 20 minutes. So for the first time in 30 years, I tried the lunch menu. It was decent but reminded me of this strange phenomenon I’ve experienced with most Bay Area legacy restaurants. Something about the food in the Bay Area is “faded” for lack of a better word. It’s like the soul isn’t there anymore. Everything tasted like it had been frozen before and I wasn’t too impressed considering the hype and history of this spot.Maybe it was a fluke. But I suspect that this “tired and faded” feeling is probably a side effect of the trying to exist and survive in a region being consumed by tech moguls and mega rich.Dietary restrictions: Sparse gluten free options.”

“Dinner at the Village Bakery was wonderful. We had great service (we were greeted and sat immediately, and waiter came over immediately and continued to check in on us throughout our visit). Drinks and food came out quickly and all was delicious. We ordered the Woodside cocktail, Chicken Caesar Salad, and the Bakery Burger. All great. Ambiance and decor was appealing and the noise level was lively but not too loud that you couldn't have a conversation. It would be nice for a date night or meeting up with friends for a nice dinner. There were only two of us when we dined, but I saw larger parties in the additional dining area if you have a special dinner with more people. I recommend making a reservation as it was very busy - we went on a Thursday night. Highly recommend.”

“Ideally I would have to say I would give Robin a 3.5 stars. Upon arriving to the restaurant, it was storming outside and there were no signs for us to find the place. When we entered, we got greeted by friendly staff members and got seated. I think what makes Robin a bit more unique compared to other omakase places is that you can choose your own price range and the chefs accommodate with what you had picked, but in my opinion I would have preferred them to give a set price to choose from. Inside of the restaurant was beautiful, I loved the interior design, but if you're looking for a quiet/intimate omakase experience this is not the place for that. Music is pretty loud and the parties around us were talking with their outside voice , which I didn't mind because like I mentioned the vibes at Robin is definitely more casual. In terms of the quality of food, I would have to say, while everything was super fresh and good, nothing stood out to me. On top of that, every omakase I've been to so far, I would have been full 80% in but we left Robin still hungry. Our total came out to be $470, and I would have expected to leave full. I wished they had taken out the potato chip nigiri and the noodle dish, because I would have preferred to receive more fish. The nigiri that was part of the courses was super small, and as I mentioned, while everything was good, I was not amazed. Still highly recommend if you've never experienced omakase before, only tip is to book at the bar seating bc you'll get the full experience that way.”

“An absolute favorite that I am sure to visit on every trip to the Bay. Very unique fusions of Indian and Californian flavors with something for every palate. My favorites are the sesame leaf, burrata kulcha, house salad and dry boat scallops. Also don’t sleep on the cocktails. Very nicely crafted.”

“Had early dinner at kajiken on a Friday night around 530pm. There was no wait but a line started to form as soon as we got seated. I got the homura and it was good - noodles tasted fresh with good chew. I would say this dry ramen has similarities to Taiwanese minced pork noodles. On the table are condiments (garlic, chili oil, vinegar, sesame oil, sesame seed) for you to adjust to your taste. I think i prefer regular ramen with broth; i was missing the super rich soup that comes to mind when i think "ramen". Having said that, it was a good dish if you're in the mood for it.”

“The culinary expedition to 'Smoked Heaven' was nothing short of spectacular. Each bite of the tender, slow-smoked brisket melted in my mouth, releasing a symphony of flavors that were both complex and comforting. The smoky aroma, infused with a subtle hint of hickory, enveloped the meat, enhancing its juiciness and depth of flavor. The accompanying homemade BBQ sauce, with its perfect balance of tangy and sweet, complemented the brisket beautifully, elevating the dish to new heights. The sides, particularly the creamy coleslaw and savory baked beans, were delightful, offering a refreshing contrast to the rich, smoky meat. 'Smoked Heaven' not only delivers on its promise of authentic BBQ excellence but also excels in creating an unforgettable dining experience that leaves you craving more.”

“Delicious food but maybe not worth the price. Our appetizers came super fast but the main course took a long time and we ordered the seared halibut which isn't a dish that should take a long time. The fried flowered cauliflower was amazing, great acidity in the sauce. The kanpachi was also incredibly delicious, again amazing because of a wonderfully acidic sauce. The halibut was cooked perfectly, the peas were so fresh and felt like popping boba, and the sauce was acidic again. I'm a huge fan of the acidic sauces and did not get tired of it, but that's something to be wary of if you're not a fan.”

“This place is absolutely fantastic. Definitely in my top 5 Mediterranean restaurants in the Bay. Their eggplants are awesome and their chocolate dessert is perfect. I'd take any opportunity to go there to eat”

“We went to Sundance to celebrate my husband's birthday, and this OG place did not disappoint. The vibe was lovely. The service and timing from our waitress, Ashley G., were outstanding. Complimentary freshly baked bread. Free mud pie (ice cream cake) dessert for the birthday boy. Both of our steaks were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The veggies were still crisp, and the garlic mashed potatoes were to die for. Their Ceasar salad was perfect with crisp romaine, perfect dressing and cheese ratio, anchovies, and crunchy (not hard) croutons. Lastly, their drinks were so good we had to get another round. This place is a solid choice for a nice night out. PS: Don't forget to grab some Andes chocolate on your way out.”

“Service was amazing! Garrett was so attentive and would bring everything we needed before we could even think of asking. Service like that is what makes the experience truly memorable. The atmosphere is good too—not too loud and beautiful decor. Ingredients were delicious, but I was not a fan of some dishes (could be personal preference). The cucumber salad seemed too acidic and the pork belly with burrata pairing didn’t go well in my opinion. But again, the quality was great and the rest is personal preference. Would be an injustice if I didn’t mention that trout was absolutely delectable! Might be the best one I’ve ever had. Also, the vanilla soft serve with cardamom crumble was a hit!”

“We had the most delicious meal last night at Protégé. Each course of the tasting menu was perfection. At the end we couldn't choose a favorite because they were all equally incredible. Our server, Fleur, was so knowledgeable about the food and the wine and gave us wonderful recommendations for the perfect wines to compliment the various courses. The whole experience was wonderful and I can't wait to go back sometime.Dietary restrictions: They made sure they were aware of all of my dietary restrictions and ensured the food I was served was safe for me to eat by making small adjustments when needed.”

“Good food and service overall but a few hiccups for our dinner there: only an outdoor table available (but after asking if any table would become available we got one indoor in 5 min), good-but-loud live music, and no heads up what what we ordered wasn't available anymore.”

“I live on the east bay but work in the peninsula. Was craving birra tacos and found them on yelp. My husband has food allergies but was willing to try the chicken soft tacos. I brought everything home across the 92. He didn't have an allergic reaction! He loved them so much, he asked me to buy them again afterwards work the next day! The birra tacos were delicious as well! The consume (dipping) is really good! Everything was wrapped nicely and still warm by the time I got home. The second day I tried a chicken burrito and that was delicious as well! I highly recommend!”

“A lil pricey for a sandwich but very good stuff. Nice fresh sourdough; the bread was soft and had a nice slight crunch to it. The original (ham and turkey) was tasty and came with cheese. I saved half for the next day and it was still delicious. Somehow even better when cold. The crust sourdough dip with warm au jus (roast beef) was amazing. The roast beef was so tender! It was worth it. I also really enjoyed the bacon jam; I didn't know what to expect but I enjoyed the bit of sweetness and caramelized onions in it. Really solid! The bread also held up nicely when dipped into the au jus. The cookies are not too bad; I tried the lemon and it smelled great. Taste was good too but unfortunately it was a lemon cookie with coconut shavings inside (which was not mentioned) and I'm not the biggest fan of coconut! The interior is nice and spacious. They are located in an office space.”

“Take-out dinner for four adults and one toddler. High-quality, authentic Italian. Excellent homemade pasta, including pillowy spinach-ricotta ravioli. Flavorful chicken dish with roast potatoes my husband, who avoids dairy, loved: "Pollo alla Calabrese." Warm reception taking the order over the phone, as well as upon my arrival. The bread we were given to accompany was unexpectedly traditional French, with a slight sourdough note -- tasted freshly baked. Do not miss the light & airy tiramisu for dessert!”

“Trust me, the Village Pub never disappoints! The food is always excellent and the staff is amazing. They make you feel so welcome and comfortable. Their knowledge of menu items and wine rival the cook and sommelier! Truly an organization that has captured the head, hands and heart of their employees. Can't wait to return!”
