“Ribs have plenty of meat, but to my taste a bit dry and chewy. I like more tender and more moisture ribs meat. Salads were good and fresh, but really small. Staff was friendly. OK for one time, but won’t drive here specially for ribs for $30+…pricy… Other restaurants offer more and better for the same price.“

“?? CROATIA (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - When you see the large roof-mounted rooster crowing over Pacific Avenue in San Pedro, you know you have arrived at the right place. What began as a poultry butcher in 1922 (yes, 102 years ago!) became more of a fast food restaurant in the 1950’s and 1960’s when they changed locations twice. This gave the opportunity for the Croatian immigrant owners to sneak some foods from back home onto the menu.“

“Cat robot servers, a self-serve bar, over 30 selections for Korean BBQ, and it's only $34.99 per person??! I think I may have just found my new favorite KBBQ spot and it's in Torrance!Waiting for the grill to get hot is like the most aggravating few seconds of KBBQ, does anyone else feel me on this?? But the fact that they have yummy apps like baked mussels (my fave!) ready to eat and banchans makes it worth the wait. They've got all your quintessential favorites like jiggly steamed egg and corn cheese, and all the toppings you need to make your perfect bite. Thanks for reading! ^-^“

“To the uninitiated, this place offers the right amount and fare, with quality just being ok, at a location convenient to those that frequent the area. There are other similar places that offer more in terms of selection and quality within a short drive. Service was on the good side and not a concern. Staff was helpful to first time customers. May come back here to avoid the crowd at other places.“

“I’ve eaten here(well, I’ve never actually eaten inside the place), but, I’ve ordered take out on work days when I didn’t pack a lunch, and I’ve also ordered Bibingka for a get-together or two, and always had great results! Chicken, Beef, or Salmon Bowl? Can’t go wrong either way! Their Bibingka is delish, as well!“

“We've been coming here for many years. The go-to order for us is the Ox-tongue, Slightly Salted with Green Onions. Other good choices are the Skirt Steak, Liver, Garlic. Be warned it does tend to get smokey inside, so you'll come out smelling like bbq. Plenty of parking in the lot. Reservations help on weekends.“

“As soon as you walk in you're hit with the aroma of deliciousness. The decor is a little odd.... Records... hot wheels... little dolls.... A huge Native American wooden statue... a Christmas tree... very kitschy. Also the music playing reminded me of my 90 year old white grandmother lol. Excited to see that they not only have pho and viet food, but also Korean bbqed meats and soonbudu. I got the steak and brisket pho. Broth was super clear which surprised me and the flavor was on point, though a tad oily. I think they only gave me the brisket unless their steak was overcooked. They didn't give a lot of meat. That being said, the broth was really good and overall it was a good bowl of pho. Will be back to try their soondubu!“

“THE PLACE TO GO AND THE PLACE TO BE!!!We have been visting this place since my wife was pregnant with our beautiful son. Now he is a 5 year old boy who says this restaurant is his absolute favorite restaurant!Definitely try to avoid busy times so that you don’t have to wait! For the first time visitors, this is a no ordinary K-BBQ. Haksan specializes in intestine BBQ. If you never had it, you might feel strange about doing a bbq with intestine. Intestine BBQ is in fact one of the most popular dish in Korea. There are a few well-known intestine BBQ places in Los Angeles county. But I can definitely and proudly can tell you that Haksan is THE best place of all. Their meat quality is beyond expectations even for Koreans from Korea. The amount of food is quite big but very affordable (especially in this terrible economy, fulfilling good quality food with affordable pricing is a gem that you cannot avoid).Customer Service here is phenomenal. The owner lady of this restaurant is caring enough to say hello to every customers, and would even like to talk to you if you wish to ask any quesitons about anything. The most impressive thing is that they pre-cook everything so that you can eat almost right away (except for some meat, they do tell you that you should wait and cook a bit more and then eat).Environment is lively but not loud at all. One of downsides of many korean bbq places is that their music is too loud. Haksan does play music but not loud that it's comfortable. If you go to a Korean restaurant, or any asian restaurant for that matter, the first thing you want to look for is "how many of their own people are visiting" and "how many of older people of their own people are visiting." During busy weekend dinner time, this place is thriving with all ages and ethic groups. In fact, it's very fun just to be there because how happy people are eating there. It's just positive vibe overall!Remember that time when BTS said that one intestine BBQ in k-town is the best. I want them to come to Haksan and see it for themselves.LOVE THIS PLACE and will continue to visit here as long as we can!“

“Oh my gosh this place is killer. We had a 50 person Hawaiian party for my daughter with the star of the food show being this lechon. We bought the whole thing and it was gone. People kept raving about how amazing it was and how it was the best lechon they have ever had in their life. We had two chefs in attendance and both were analyzing how they were able to get just the right amount of crispness with moist tender pig amazingness hahaha. Needless to say there is nothing left and it was incredible. Oh I didn't want to forget there homemade sauce. Delectable and refreshing with the pork. Gosh we are so lucky to have them so close.“

“This K-bbq place is a bit different from the others I have visited. I liked it! Since it was our first time here we tried a beef and pork combo. The large was plenty for 5 adults. It includes a ton of sides, choice of stew, and the best part is they start cooking it for you. Other than bringing food and checking in on the cooking, service is pretty low key but they are there if you need someone. The price is reasonable for the quality and quantity of the combo. Decor is pretty understated. It has an industrial feel with all the vents and metal. A unique draw - You can see them slicing slabs of meat behind the glass into individual portions.“

“Lovely, polite service, absolutely delicious chicken - We ordered the Golden Original which has this light, crispy, flakey coating that is amazing (husband polished it off), and the Secret Sauce which was equally amazing - I had to hide my left overs in the fridge and i ate it cold, and it was still crunchy and delish! the chicken is perfectly tender and juicy. This aint fast food so it takes a few minutes to prepare, boy was it worth it! Can't wait to try the other offerings. It's small, I think most people get the food to go, but it's a very clean place. If I had to give them advise, it's that it's hard to tell by looking in the window whether they are open.“

“Definitely worth getting! Love the flavor , the brisket was absolutely the best I EVER had. The pulled pork was on point , Mac&cheese , potato salad , beans all had flavor and richness unlike others. Hats off to the bbq master. On another side I don't recommend the chicken it's very basic. Especially next to the colossal tastes the other meats bring to the table.“

“Anything walking distance from my house will get a try out of me. The barbecue here is delicious. Very well seasoned and flavorful. The sides were very good. The agua frescas were so good and refreshing also. The service was great! They gave suggestions and explained the menu amazingly. For the price, everything was worth it. One thing I hate is buying barbecue and being disappointed. Daniel's didn't do that at all.“

“I went here for a late Latino/Hispanic Mother’s Day as my grandma and mom wanted to try a Korean BBQ and I have never been either. After we were sat, we explained we had never been and what they recommended. They were excited to help us out with recommendations and brought a little of a lot of food. They were friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. We will definitely be coming back soon!“

“Wow! What a hole-in-the-wall, I didn't know what to expect but it blew me away! Very friendly service and the food is incredible. We've tried it twice now and it does not disappoint. We had some Texans in for the weekend and my son wanted to celebrate with BBQ...so we went to the state next door and tried Oklahoma-style! We ordered a family-style combo for 10-12 people, plus a few extra sides, and had amble food left over for days! Everything was delicious, the meats not too fatty (just how I like it!) and the ribs were thick and meaty. Perfect for a crowd and to satisfy your BBQ fix! Ordered online for delivery and they were very communicative about the status of our order. Arrived on time and well-packed for delivery. No beans or sauces spilled here! Highly recommend, we will be back.“
“Located inside Jon's market, I had no idea that this place existed until our friends catered chicken and beef kabobs and veggies for our group gathering. The portions were big and everything was cooked well and tasted delicious. I've also had their tri tip and it's always cooked perfectly for my taste. Love this place!!“

“Driven by this place so many times I decided to stop today. My son is a fan of beef jerky and was happy they had samples. He tried a few but decided on the one in the picture. Service is friendly and welcoming. My son must of really liked his beef jerky because it was gone shortly after we got home.“
