“We had a lovely time at Drift. The potatoes were excellent & the roasted pepper sauce was better than I expected. The mushrooms were too heavily flavored but everything else was great! The decor is cozy & relaxing. There’s a nice outdoor seating area also.”

“From the thick slice of sourdough to the fresh avocado and sea salt, the avocado toast was just right. The açaí bowl was piled high with fruit, coconut, and goji berries. Delicious!”

“The cutest second story coffee shop on the south end of Wrightsville beach! This is the perfect place to grab a coffee or quick morning bite to eat. It's also great for an afternoon drink since they have beers on tap or cans to choose from! There's limited indoor seating but there are outdoor picnic tables when weather permits. Ive ordered an iced vanilla latte, açaí bowel, and margarita (on tap) and thought all were great! The servers were also all very friendly. Can't wait to come back!”

“My husband and I went to Poe’s for a late dinner on April 21 after checking into the condo. Our server, Kelly, was excellent! She was attentive and had a great sense of humor. Our fish tacos were very good. And, the french fries were perfectly cooked to a nice crunch with just the right amount of salt on them. Would definitely return!”

“As much as I LOVE getting a Topsail Steamer when I'm in Topsail, NC, your new "ship anywhere in the country", through GoldBelly, did not work out for my Christmas present to my son and his family in Washington state. Delivery was delayed a day for reasons unknown. Everything had to be thrown away except the steam pot, the spices and the instructions. On the positive side, they went out and bought ingredients to replicate it themselves. On the negative side, that was not $249.00 well spent by me. I won't try shipping again.”

“Excellent seafood and drinks across the board. We would go back for the tuna poke and tacos. The oysters were shucked well, clean, and tasty. Smashed avocado aka guacamole and salsa were Telmex worthy. You pay a little more for but the experience is worth it. I agree below that the tenders are fine but not at the price ”

“Sat at the bar. The fried oysters were awesome. Chili sauce. The crab cake , and burger were both wonderful. My hubby enjoyed the electronic fog beer and I had a lemon cocktail and the espresso cocktail. The fresh potato chips are fantastic!!”

“Great spot. I wish there was music in the actual bar area, it was a bigger area but it was darker and quiet, wasn't the side we wanted to sit on for lunch. It would be awesome if they took the front area vibe and ambiance and pulled it through to the back bar area. Food was good, good price. Skinny margarita was a little tart.”

“Great little hot dog restaurant near the beach. About a dozen or so options on menu, but you can also choose your own toppings too. Cost less than $10 for two good quality dogs, fabulous!”

“I spent a long weekend in the hotel and this restaurant carried our best meals. We went out and tried many other local places along the beach and waterway, but the best service and food always came from when we stayed on property.Everything we had was great, but the lemon tart was elevated.”

“Brownie batter ice cra was on point! So good! Our son enjoyed the tie dye Italian ice and the chocolate chip cookie dough. Healthy portions and a great value. What a cool little spot.”

“It had been 2 years since our last visit, but things were basically the same except we found out that they now have a Monday special with $3 pints. We unfortunately went in on a Tuesday, though the beers were still a fairly reasonable at $5 a pint. We had the Pale Ale and the Wilmington Brewery's Tropical Lightning that were both good. The cold case had a lot of other beer selections in a can including the great little lager Hamm's beer. The young girl behind the counter was very personable, offering tastes when we inquired about certain options. Views and vibe remain great.”

“We had our wedding welcome party at The Palm Room and it was AWESOME! The owners, Kat and Kurt, were great to work with and the bar service was incredible (2 bartenders and a barback for ~150 people!). It was an unforgettable night and truly a way to welcome people to the island!”

“Ignore the decor! It's old, shabby, dingy. Ignore the atmosphere. It's not packed like a frat house bar. Come for the food and the service. Best in the area. We had pork cheek and shrimp martini for starters - both amazing, pork cheeks are to die for! Then main of stuffed quail and scallops, both fresh and succulent. To finish off, blood orange ice cream and salted caramel ice cream - locally made, simply awesome finish. Staff go out of their way to attend to you. All in, a great experience! And whatever you do, get the pork cheeks if they have them ... Should win awards for it it was sooooo good”

“Ambivalent staff. They were helpful but seemed uniterested. The coffee is 5 stars. The worst part is parking is a MF. It's all pay parking in Wrightsville, and the workshop doesn't have spaces. Otherwise it is a great spot, worth visiting, and you can take beans home with you.”
