“This is a great bar to watch the eagles games! It feels like you are right in the heart of Philly and you can always can get a drink relatively fast! In the fall when it's still warm, they have a set up on 1st street where they block it off and set up tables and TVs to watch the game.“

“A small neighborhood joint with food that will exceed your expectations.Moran’s is known around town for their burgers, which absolutely live up to the hype. I also recommend trying the Irish Poutine. The fries have an even coating of curry sauce, which means every bite is going to be delicious. Me and my partner ate in mostly silence while we were here, which is a sign that the food really hit our souls here.Drinks wise, there is a solid beer and cider menu, with a number of options from Ireland and the UK that you won’t find at other spots around town.Service wise, everyone here is friendly.“

“Excellent spot. 1) I got the Irish Breakfast, it was very filling and tasty. I enjoyed every part of it. It had various meats and vegetables/beans. 2) The service was very good. The waitress came to fill my water. 3) Only thing is, the place is very busy. Sometimes hard to find table.“
“Onieal's is our absolute favorite burger in Hoboken. They never disappoint when it comes to cooking our burgers perfectly and their house-cut fries taste super fresh! Now they've even upgraded their buns to potato rolls which is a huge bonus for us personally. This time we even tried the chicken finger appetizer which was delicious including their amazing honey mustard. To note: the bar area can get kind of loud/rowdy especially on game days (it is a bar after all). But don't let that deter you if you'd like a quieter area they have both outdoor seating and an additional back room which are both less noisy. The service is always decent but their servers are definitely stretched a little thin. This will always be one of our favorite neighborhood go to spots!“

“Currently visiting from Australia, what was only meant to be a quick pub feed turned into our favourite place in NY. Breifne was amazing, he always had outstanding customer service and smile on his face even in the busiest times. His friendly and welcoming attitude resulted in us returning 5 times through out our stay. Thoroughly enjoyed many delicious margaritas made by him! Overall was a great environment that made us feel safe and relaxed with a great atmosphere.“

“O'Hara's Restaurant and Pub is hands down my favorite spot in New York City, and it's become my go-to place for almost every weekend outing. Located in the heart of the Financial District, this gem is more than just a restaurant or a pub – it's a place brimming with history, warmth, and some of the best drinks you'll ever have. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by an incredibly friendly and attentive staff. They always make you feel like part of the family. The owner is often around, mingling with guests and making sure everyone is having a great time. His friendliness and genuine interest in his patrons are a huge part of what makes this place special. Now, let's talk about the drinks. They offer a fantastic selection of beers, cocktails, and spirits that cater to every taste. The bartenders here really know their craft. Whether you're in the mood for a classic Guinness or something more adventurous, they’ve got you covered. I've tried many places in the city, but the drinks here are simply on another level – consistently top-notch and expertly made.Beyond the drinks and the welcoming atmosphere, this place holds a significant spot in the community’s heart due to its deep connection with 9/11. The walls are adorned with badges and memorabilia from first responders, making it a poignant and respectful tribute to the heroes of that day. It’s impossible not to feel a sense of reverence and respect as you sit among these tokens of bravery and sacrifice. One of the best kept secrets here is the "Album." If you ask the staff about it, they'll bring out a book filled with photos, letters, and memories from people who have visited over the years. It’s a touching collection that adds a personal and historical depth to your visit, reminding you of the community spirit that thrives in this place. It is more than just a pub for me – it's a place where memories are made and shared. I've taken all my friends here, and every single one of them has fallen in love with it just like I did. The combination of great service, outstanding drinks, and rich history creates an experience that is hard to beat.If you’re ever in New York City, do yourself a favor and stop by. Enjoy a drink, soak in the atmosphere, and be sure to ask about the "Album." You won’t regret it.“

“We were in town for the day and called ahead to make reservations. The staff was so nice and let us come an hour before opening time to accommodate us :) We arrived alittle after 3 and were promptly seated. The inside decor was classy and pictures of celebrities that have visited nearys were all over the wall. It was very Hollywood. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and drinks to start. I got the classic gin gimblet which was strong and good! I had the French onion soup which was divine. A layer of cheese covered the top, the broth was rich and flavorful. The clams casino was too much breading and not a lot of clam. For entrees most people got the famous lamb rack, I got the shrimp scampi over rice. The lamb is very flavorful and cooked right. My shrimp scampi was good but I thought it was heavy on the lemon side. More butter needed to be added to cut the acidity of the lemon since it took over the flavor of the whole dish. The rice was alittle al dente for my taste. For dessert I got the molten lava cake which came in this adorable glass jar and with vanilla ice cream. That was amazing. The chocolate cake was rich and the ice cream paired perfectly. We all had a great time talking to the staff. Everyone was very nice and we enjoyed our dining experience:)“

“Absolutely love this place. Just back from my second trip to NYC, so second time in here. Firstly the Guinness and food is excellent in the landmark. The service is lirlterally second to none, my favourite Irish bar in NYC. Donnacha is a legend of a bartender and literally couldn't do more for his customers. A true gentleman. Until the next time Donnacha , Sláinte.PS Donnacha, if you do reas this. We did come back last Friday 06/04 but the place was packed out the door literally!“

“We are never disappointed when we stop here when we visit NYC. Atmosphere and food is always fantastic and they make killer Manhattans. We just went for the 2023 Rockefeller tree and the staff was pleasant and accommodating. so happy they were decorated for the holidays. 100% go to in our opinion.“
“The hot deli counter has cooked food and this time I got a simple cold sandwich. Their breakfast sandwiches are by miles, the best I've had too. Sausage rolls are just as good as what you get in the UK (if only fish & chips was the same!) Great place to stop if you want custom lunch. Slightly on the expensive side though otherwise a very decent spot.“

“Food here catches you off guard. Usually, when I see a beautiful bar, I don’t expect the food to be top tier. I’ve had lunch and dinner here before and everything is delicious. Manny, the manager, is great with engaging with the customers. Get the steak with truffle parm fries! You will not regret it.“

“Loved visiting this place with a friend for brunch! The food was great for the price and it has such a cozy vibe. The drinks are a good price as well during brunch and I would love to come back again alone or with friends. It’s small and the seating is a bit tight but it’s a good place to hang out. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area! The brunch burger was delicious and cooked how I like it but the main star for me were the truffle fries.“

“A hidden gem in the wall street area. Beautiful old antique wooden bar brought in from Europe that is well maintained, polished, and stacked with any liquor you could think of. There is a sizable room with tables passed the bar that is perfect to enjoy their delicious dinner specialties -- something you would never expect from a bar. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star rating for the atmosphere is because I have tinnitis which makes it hard to hear conversations in loud gatherings. I was there on a Thursday and the bar was packed . Everyone was having a great time hence loud (but only at the bar area). If it is that packed on a Thursday, I presume that the "party" is constant every day it is open. It is Wall Street after all.“

“We arrived and were seated immediately. The servers were professional and courteous. They answered questions and were patient while we decided. The appetizer and the food came quickly but not unreasonably so. They seemed to have the timing down. We had fish tacos which were good, but not exceptional. I had a steak which was delicious and cooked as ordered. The twice baked potato was so so. It didn't match the quality of my steak or vegetables. My wife had a simple beet salad which h she enjoyed. Bill came quickly when requested. We will return again.“

“Fantastic service. Being a bar in the city and within a central traveling point, you would expect rushed service and excessive prices. YOU EOULD BE WRONG.The staff are very warm and friendly and prices are similar to anywhere else. A great place to wait for your train.Thank you again for the staff who gave me a fantastic spicy margarita with a salt, pepper, and mint rim. Sorry I couldn’t remember the name“

“The location of this restaurant is quite convenient being in close proximity to a number of bus & subway lines in addition to the LIRR.If possible try to come here for the weekday lunch special. The New England Clam Chowder and Shepard's Pie (lunch size) was great. If ordering the Shepherd's Pie take care not to touch the bowl it is served in as one can burn their hands.Whether one is a local resident or a traveler this is a fine place to stopover.“

“I have been coming here for over 10+ years and the only regret i have is not leaving this review sooner. I absolutely love this bar. Its everything you can ask for when coming to either have a nice refreshing drink or munch out. The staff treat you like family and i would not replace this place for any other. By the way, if you’re a burger type of person, do yourself a favor and order the woodside burger. You can thank me later by ordering me a whiskey shot.“

“I first discovered Finnegans Wake in 1990 and it was and still is my favorite NY place. Those were the days, my friend. We thought they’d never end but I haven’t been back to NYC since 2013. I heard Ignatius passed and May he RIP and Frank, the best bartender must have retired. If not, please give him a shout out from his “California Girls , Maria and Kelly.“
