“Uptown Social is a great spot for watching sports, I typically go at least a few times during the NFL season and it's also a really good for March Madness. Along with the super large main floor, they also have an upstairs rooftop bar with a few TVs as well. The food is pretty standard bar food along with some pizzas and other options. One perk is that they have gluten free bread available to sub out for the sandwiches. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries on the gluten free bread. It was pretty good and hit the spot while watching some basketball.“

“I would have given this restaurant 5 stars for the food except for the preparation of the garlic shrimp…the taste was spot on but the texture was a little mushy because of all the delicious sauce (the bread dipped in the sauce with lots of capers was a revelation). Maybe there is a way to have the majority of the sauce on the side so the shellfish doesn’t suffer. Caesar salad was among the most unique and delicious I’ve ever had. Really solid meal and the service was superb. Prices were reasonable as well.“

“If you're looking for a fun place to try a large variety of beers or cocktails, this is the place to go. The inside dining area is so spacious, and the bar itself is inviting and fun. There is also a patio and outside bar area where there's live music. The food there is great too, and the portions are worth the price. The staff there are also very friendly and are able to help you out with any questions. Overall, a great place to take a date or friends.Parking: The place has its own parking lot.Kid-friendliness: I would not bring kids here.“

“It’s a dive bar but definitely the best bar we went to in Charleston. Strong pours, fun, happy patrons, friendly bar staff and just so good. If you are looking for a down to earth bar full of locals check it out and have a good time. Enjoy!“

“The staff was awesome, super sweet! We sat outside the first day and got drinks and wings. THE BEST WINGS!! So crispy and the sauce was awesome. We did a beer flight for $16 and it was a great way to taste some of the 43ish beers they have on draft. They had a great band play for a fun Sunday Funday!“

“This place surprised me. Did not expect a place that served American bar food to have good sushi. BUT I was pleasantly surprised. Enough to come back and get 5rolls for a date. I can’t remember exactly what I got but I do know both the fried and raw sushi was very good.“

“Wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The hostess was polite. Tyler (server) explained the menu and specials right away. He checked on us in a timely manner after each course. Our desserts were delivered to us by the manager Don. It was our anniversary and everyone made sure to tell us Happy anniversary. We got the signature hot rock as our appetizer. It was delicious. My husband got the dry aged ribeye and ai got the scallops. Both were cooked perfectly. We will be back!“

“The oysters were so fresh and sweet! So delish. Tasted like caught fresh out from the ocean. I did not like the lobster roll. It was not worth the price and tasted just light salt. Lobster in it was a good amount but the whole item is a miss. Server was nice and knowledgeable young man.“

“When we got there, it took a while to be greeted and given menus. But after that service was fantastic. Kylie was our waitress and she was awesome! Food came quick while they were busy, and was great! They run some sort of special almost everyday, beer is cheap as well. Will definitely be back!“

“LOVED the "Fried Green Maters" & Fried Pickles and Banana Peppers.. These were both suggested by our server - Reagan. Everything was perfect. The manager even spotted by to make sure while we were eating. Curtis and Reagan made our evening. Glad we stopped in while on vacation. So glad a friend suggested it!“

Tartar sauce was ok, nothing special.They had a fair selection of beer, but I expected a wider selection of local breweries (they did have a few, just not many.)The waitress rook a while to take our orders but was attentive after that.Price was reasonable for portions received.Overall, a place worth visiting if you are close but not worth an out of the way trip to eat there.“

“Absolutely love the roost! I have frequented this bar a lot over the past few years! Lately my friends and I have been going to the music bingo on Wednesday nights at 7 and it's a blast. The vibes are great and I always meet someone new while there. The bar tenders and servers are amazing and the chefs know what they're doing!!!! Don't sleep on the food! Buff chicken dip- YUM (friend group favorite) Seared tuna-YUM Pork quesadilla-YUM All their food is delicious! Hope to see you on the dance floor!“

“It's really cold inside. Food was really tasty, but my wife ordered the ham and swiss and asked for it to be wrapped, and the order came in a bun. You have to try the shrimp poor boy, really great. No menus on table, took our water order but we couldn't order. 2 other couples had the same problem. I believed that the bar was short staffed, because they were busy but the sign said seat yourself with only 2 people working the floor. Like any restaurant/bar it was loud but we didn't have to shout. Shoestring frys were great, slightly seasoned great taste, I would go back but would have my sweater.“

“If you want to watch football, this is THE place!! Lots of tvs! The bartenders are some of the best in Charleston! We went today to watch the Packers and they filled up fast. Only two bartenders but you wouldn't know it because they crushed it!!! They kept their cool, handled each guest with great service. I didn't get their names but they rock!!! “Guinness beef stew was delicious! Waitress was very nice, just didn't notice us for a while ;) but she brought our food out quickly. Fun atmosphere.. a little loud, lots of TV screens with different channels displayed to be entertained by. Good place to come in and grab a bite.“

“We often go out for lunch. Kickin Chicken is our favorite place to eat. The hamburgers are delicious and juicy. The fries are always freshly cooked. Never doubled dipped. The prices are very reasonable too! It's a very clean restaurant. Our servicer, Rachelle had a beautiful smile, great sense of humor, and very attentive. We highly recommend eating at the Kickin Chicken!“
