“Horrible manager on 10/13/2022! He ruined my daughter's 5 year anniversary dinner. They were in from out of state to attend a golf tournament and celebrate their anniversary. When it came time for payment the manager came over and told them they don't accept Discover and was really rude and belittled them for not having any other type of payment with them. There are no signs posted that they don't take Discover. The manager said what do you want us to do, sit everyone down beforehand and tell them we don't take Discover. A sign should have been posted. Every other establishment they visited in Hilton Head took Discover. The manager could have been nice about it while they secured another form of payment instead of belittling them in front of everyone. Their waiter was amazing though. Seems they need to promote the waiter as the new manager.”

“We had a great view! Opened up the doors for us and we were still in the air conditioning......AHHHHHHHH. Best place we visited due in part to our server. Oksana was amazing and most of all just a pleasure to be around. She even ran me down 100 yards away after I left my credit card behind. Great memory I will be razed about for years to come!”

The food is delicious and the servings are large. Dessert is a must, try the lava cake. Juan was a great waiter & the manager Lucy was delightful! “My wife had the duck, which she loved. My filet was excellent. The bread pudding I had for dessert was the best I've had outside of New Orleans. Our server, Lucas, was knowledgeable and helpful. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Hilton Head.”

We had the shrimp and Vadalia onion bisque, Cioppino, and Grilled Salmon, Every dish was thoroughly enjoyable and the broth with the Cioppino should be on the menu as a soup...it is that good. Our servers made us feel as if we were their only guests and treated us like locals. Having a Groupon added to our completely enjoyable experience. Highly RECOMMEND!”

The menu has a nice range of options--at a range of prices (from moderate to expensive)--and all our choices were excellent. The restaurant is a little dark for our choice and the service is fine (don't have a 4.5 option)...all-in-all a great place for a nicer meal.”

“I had intended to go to the Black Marlin, which is a restaurant next-door to Carolina Crab. David the host was most welcoming and sat me at a table. Once I looked at the menu and heard David’s recommendation for the crabcake I decided to stay and I’m sure glad I did. I lucked out with the server— Sam as in Samantha was most accommodating and one of the best servers I’ve ever known.I ordered the she crab soup with Sherry, which was thick creamy and calorie free. Sic. Followed by the duo of crabcake and scallops —both of which were delicious. I highly recommend Carolina Crab to anyone seeking a excellent seafood meal in a casual environment with superb service.”

But anybody who values quality ingredients and outstanding presentation this is a must to try. I've order cakes from here - outstanding! (The strawberry was a huge hit among all!) And we have tried almost every pastry, cookie and bread and never less than perfection. We obvious have our favorites but I honestly believe you can't go wrong with any choice here, it's all personal preference...and there is a wide selection of choices to choose from. And everybody behind the counter is super helpful and friendly. One of my favorite places on HHI.”

“Great place to go and have some low key fun. This place serves great food without the high brow pretentiousness. I had the voodoo pasta and my wife had the catfish. Both were very good but be prepared for large portion size. My only criticisms were the corn bread it was more like cake, not bad just not my favorite. Owner created a great place but wasn't the best at taking the orders.”

“Quaint Mexican restaurant with fantastic food. The salsa has a different flavor and taste than most Mexican restaurants I’ve had, it’s almost like it’s cooler? I don’t know if they use a different type of tomato or what but it was different in a good way. The queso was thick and good. I had the Carnitas Killer Burrito and my wife had the Carnitas Tacos, let me say, the portions are massive!! The killer burrito was the size of a small child and I was able to finish it but it definitely took all I had and I usually eat a lot. I would say unless you’re absolutely famished the Carnitas Tacos size is a good filling size for most people, go with the killer burrito if you’re looking for a large large meal or leftovers. The carnitas themselves were fantastic and had great flavors and moisture to them. If we go back to Hilton head this is absolutely as must stop for us”

The bloody Mary is the best as a local I go as often as I can everyone is so sweet they are truly masters of their craft dealing with the public is never easy however the entire staff makes it look easy smiles everywhere you look Emily generally takes my order so I'm so I'm bias towards her I admit it however the entire wait staff is A plus if your local sunrise will be your new favorite place if you're just visiting and and planning a return trip to the island this will be a must go to the people doing the cooking and the prepping are A+ as well Paula is steadily calling out orders directing what table to bring the food to the rest of her staff is organizing and prepping and just basically fine-tuning everything a fantastic job done by all I enjoy sitting at the counter so I can watch and listen to everything going on behind the counter it is truly awesome if you're familiar with the restaurant industry and then you know the term in the weeds they may be in the weeds however it never shows they are truly amazing every person there is truly outstanding and just a total gem of a person.”

“We came to HHI for vacation and were pleasantly surprised to find this ramen place. Its soup base was thick and flavorful, which says everything about the authenticity of its food. We ordered the tonkatsu ramen, takoyaki, and jinya bun. All were great. The restaurant was fully packed. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was laid back. Highly recommended!”

“This is beyond and above any bakery on the island! And I have tried them all!! We have stopped here for years! Starting back when they only had one location at Shelter Cove! Never disappointed!This trip we brought back croissants to freeze and for our grands. HHI bakery wrapped up the croissants to freeze/cook when we got home, included instructions and gave us an ice pack for the travel. Grands loved theirs as did we. And we have 4 waiting in the freezer. In addition, we grabbed some fantastic desserts like salted caramel and the Chocolate Bon Bon.If I had one suggestion, it would be that they stagger their closed days so that one of the locations is open every day. It is so disappointing when we come for a short visit and can’t visit the bakery!!!Go visit!!! You WILL NOT be disappointed.”

“Awesome local brewery! We had stellar service and delicious beers. We sat at the bar on a rainy day and played the board games they had on-hand. There's an outdoor food truck as well. You place your order with the server, then they text you when the food's ready. Unfortunately, we didn't get the text (likely due to poor service), but staff graciously remade our food so it was nice and hot! Super relaxed vibe with delicious beer and cool merch. We'll be back!”

“Husband found this little gem tucked away in a little corner. Arrive early if you would like a seat. Their gyros, spanakopita, chicken kabob and salads are excellent! However, their baklava is a PARTY IN YOUR MOUTH! The only thing that rivals their food is their hospitality. ❤️ This is the best place on the island for authentic Mediterranean! “This place is phenomenal. We sat right next to the band which I was worried would be too loud but it was spectacular. Ear Candy is a band with 3 incredibly talented musicians, these people are world class. The service was fun and friendly. The food is outstanding. We had the crab stuffed oysters and the Northern special. Both were delicious. Our drinks were perfect. Our peach dessert was to die for and our guests enjoyed the peanut butter chocolate dessert. You have got to try this place. We will be back.”

“This is wonderful Mexican "street" food. They use quality ingredients and they know what they are doing--the results are excellent. The price point is excellent for what you are getting (very large portions as well as good food). Eat-in sitting is pretty bare bones, but that is not what you come here for. Would definitely make this a regular stop.”

“Was there on 3/14/24 for lunch. Definitely my best experience at any Cook Out. Took my sister there because she had never been to a cook out. We both got BBQ tray meals with a shake. This was my first BBQ sandwich from a Cook Out, since I always get burgers. She got onion rings and chicken quesadilla for sides, I got a chicken quesadilla and walking taco for sides. Everything tasted so good and sister was very impressed. Unfortunately y'all don't have locations in PA where she lives! The guy behind the counter had an excellent demeanor he is a customer service natural. The restaurant was also very clean.”

I woke up early this morning & got her a few gifts & then got to wondering if Hilton Head had a cute pastry place. I looked it up and drove to Paris Baguette.It was absolutely SO cute! The atmosphere is amazing. The pastry’s are displayed perfectly & I love that you can get them yourself! Samantha bagged them up for me after I got a plate full & she as well made my large caramel macchiato. I completely forgot to ask for it iced. I asked her to throw some ice in the cup & she was so sweet about it! Samantha was professional yet so personable!! After I left I went back to our condo, decorated, set up my Mamas gifts along with her orange justice and pastry’s from Paris Baguette. My Mama loves pastries & she said these were the best!!! We loved it so much we’re most likely stopping by on the way home tomorrow morning. 100/10!!”

“LOVE IT! I forgot to take pictures but we got jerk chicken, oxtails, rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. They were all SO good. The jerk chicken had a really nice charcoal flavor and the jerk sauce was a perfect balance of spice. The cabbage was very flavorful and the plantains were perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was very laid back, the service was exceptionally friendly. We are so happy to have found this place and will definitely be back next time we’re in HHI!”

“We were treated with such kindness! I emailed ahead of time about getting a pizza that was safe for my kid with a severe tree nut allergy. We showed up the next day, not realizing it was 20 min before closing time. We were tired from a full day of traveling and just needed something that wasn’t fast food. When Bill recognized that I had emailed him about the allergy, he went out of his way to make us a pizza, even though he was backed up with orders. We were truly grateful for the compassion! “Food and service are definitely five stars. Had to give atmosphere a lower ranking because I absolutely got eaten up by the sand fleas here. I stayed a week in Hilton Head with my family and this was the only spot on the island where the sand fleas were really bad. If your planning to visit here gets some Skin So Soft by Avon. I should have brought some. They issued this to us in the Marine Corps just for sand flea protection.”

“We stopped at night when the menu was a limited Asian menu. My wife had the Kung Pao Chicken and I ordered the Mongolian Beef, although we always share our dishes. The Mongolian Beef was very good. The Kung Pao Chicken was excellent. The crispy peanuts definitely add to the dish, but both dishes are elevated in their flavors from typical Chinese food fare.Server was very friendly and helpful.We will definitely stop here again on our next vacation.”

“We dined at this restaurant last evening arriving around 5:15 and seated right away. Our server, Hart was awesome and our orders were accurate and he went out of his way to accommodate our requests. The atmosphere was nice but started to get really noisy upon our departure. The hush puppies were delicious and our Bloody Mary was exceptional but the rest of our food was mediocre. I will say my scallops were sweet and tender. Everyone else in our party said their dinners were just ok.”

“Walk in and immediately greeted by pleasant hostesses. Wine walls were impressive in the bar lounge area. Sat at the bar for a drink before dinner. Buy the glass wine was surprisingly limited > most California (more choices for us that like the Australia, Argentina, Oregon varieties). We sat at a high top between the inside and outside! Best of both worlds! Kicked off the meal with a perfectly made Espresso Martini. Our waitress was also our bartender and knew how to mix a good drink!! Our starter was Blue Crab delicious! I had the seared scallops, they were outstanding. My husband had Grouper cooked perfectly. Nice pianist played and sang as we enjoyed this wonderful dinner! Must go back every time we are in HH!”

“We dined at this restaurant last evening arriving around 5:15 and seated right away. Our server, Hart was awesome and our orders were accurate and he went out of his way to accommodate our requests. The atmosphere was nice but started to get really noisy upon our departure. The hush puppies were delicious and our Bloody Mary was exceptional but the rest of our food was mediocre. I will say my scallops were sweet and tender. Everyone else in our party said their dinners were just ok.”

“Another wonderful dining experience. We started with the calamari. The most delicious and flavorful you will find on the Island. I ordered grouper and my husband had the blackened redfish. Both were perfectly done We had bread pudding for dessert. Yum. The ambience is wonderful. White table clothes, comfortable seating and you never feel as those you are part of the closest diner's conversation. Noise level is calming even on a crowded evening. Service is wonderful. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous and friendly.”

“What a nice little gem in a shopping center! As you walk in the interior is lovely and though close, the booths are private. Our party of 4 shared 3 appetizers and all were excellent! The ricotta dip was outstanding and my wife and sister-in-law loved the buratta. I had the surf and turf ravioli, they were outstanding. My lobster was a little tough, but the beef ravioli and sauce was excellent! My wife had a lobster roll and it was overflowing with meat, but it was dry and the chips it came with had been cooked a little long so almost had a burnt flavor. We finished with one of the best pieces of key lime pie we have ever had! Our server was efficient. The food arrived quickly. Overall the meal was a success and we would love to try it again!! Just a few minor changes could really wow!!No joke about the key lime pie - it was stupid good!! To those about to dine, I salute you!!”

“The hostesses were welcoming, our server Patrick was excellent, the food was delicious! However, the bartenders were not hospitable at all! We sat down at the bar to get drinks while waiting on our table. They were less than half full as far as guests. Neither bartender spoke to us for at least 2 or 3 minutes. When one of them did speak, she was looking down and mumbled "How are you all"? Then she placed some menus down on the bar sideways in front of us, but never asked if we would like to order a drink. Shortly after, our table was ready, so we just got up and went to hostess stand. Very poor! Felt like neither of them wanted to wait on us. This is why we gave 4 stars instead of 5. Had everything else not been excellent, the rating would have went down to a 3 or 2 depending on server and food.”

“Went here for the first time to do a whiskey tasting. The event was very enjoyable. The food included was tasty but a very small portion. The whiskey was great as well as the host. We were also able to order off the happy menu and got the lucky burger which was delicious and a great deal on the happy hour special. We will definitely return in the future.”

“Unfortunately, we arrived during a change of shift; supposedly took a while to get service. Food was OK waitress didn’t pay close attention to order requested 1/2 dz. Oysters received a full order; but the view was great.”
