Came here for a solo lunch and ordered the spicy dan dan ramen. The broth was rich, flavorful, and especially comforting on a cool day—perfect for warming the tummy. Prices were reasonable, especially for a spot in a touristy area. Service was gentle, attentive, and friendly, adding to the pleasant dining experience.
Came as a group of 10 and they were able to seat us very quickly! Food was awesome and came out quick! Filling and worth it. Would highly recommend :)
A hidden gem in Banff!
Chaya is an awesome little ramen shop that totally exceeded our expectations. It’s a small place with limited seating, but the service was excellent, fast, friendly, and super efficient. We lucked out and walked in just as a table for four opened up, but honestly, it would’ve been worth the wait anyway. The ramen was flavorful and comforting, perfect after a day of exploring Banff. If you’re in town and craving something warm and delicious, don’t miss this spot!
Best tonkotsu ramen I’ve ever eaten outside Japan 🇯🇵 !!!
Excellent Tantan ramen with a rich, flavorful broth.
We ordered beef udon and beef donburi and they’re both very good!
Great ramen and friendly staff
I had a wonderful experience here — the food was amazing, and the staff were all so friendly and courteous.
The wonton noodles are delicious. The wonton fillings are good, but a bit expensive.

This was our first time at Chaya and we’ll definitely be back!
We had the Shoyu Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen and the spicy fried Wontons!
Perfect amounts and the noodles and flavors were spot on!
We also wanted the Yakitori chicken but beware… it sells out!!! :)

Was recommended this place by a couple of mountaineers who saved me and my friends collective asses on a nearby hike earlier in the day (thanks Darren), it was good, worth having our lives saved for.

Don't understand how this place gets only 4.1 stars. The Ramen was OUTSTANDING and the service is prompt, courteous and error free. Wish they had at least beer but
