Melissa’s MisSteak: A School Dinner Disaster
If you’re nostalgic for the days of lukewarm school dinners served with a side of disappointment, Melissa’s MisSteak might be just the place for you. The plate looks like it was assembled by a dinner lady on autopilot: a scoop of mashed potato straight from the ice cream-style portioner, ribs drowning in barbecue sauce that’s more sludge than glaze, and a piece of grilled chicken that’s seen better days.
The veg—broccoli and cauliflower—are smothered in a cheese sauce that screams “canteen chic,” and the lonely little metal cup of gravy seems unsure of its purpose. It’s a meal that lacks imagination, finesse, and frankly, flavour.
Melissa’s MisSteak? More like Melissa’s Misstep. A massive mistake indeed.

Bella is without a doubt one of the best server/bartenders I've ever had ever and I've been working in bars and restaurants for over 10 years. The food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. Truly a great way to end my vacation! Everyone was so nice and accommodating and I'll definitely be back whenever I'm in Banff! Bella, stay awesome and have the best day everyday....and to her managers and supervisors, give this lovely girl a raise!!!

Food is always delicious and staff is amazing. Make sure you come by at least for a drink if nothing else. Grab a window seat.

The steak was delicious, with just the right tenderness that even the kids enjoyed. The side dishes were also very flavorful. The pork ribs were prepared by frying, and adding a bit of lemon juice for seasoning was just right perfect to go with a glass of beer. The lobster was also well-prepared. Next time I’d like to go back and try their brunch.

Breakfast was disgusting. My husband and I both order the same thing. Server says that it will only take a second and he wasn't wrong it only took less than 2 minutes. We both knew as soon as it arrived within minutes that it wasn't going to be good. We spent 42$ on pretty much egg . The MisSteak was walking in

We've been here many times over the years. We know all the food is top notch, the food prices and portions are the best. Our waiter was amazing as well. Its a busy spot but the food comes out quite quickly. Apparently they have the best French onion soup, I never tried it was it was a rave at our table. And those ribs on the appetizer menu are HUGE! We definitely will be coming back

Younger son had been looking for pancakes for breakfast since we arrived in Canada, Melissa's was recommended by a neighbouring restaurant and we weren't disappointed, 1st class food and service. Warning the pancakes are big!
