We wanted a unique experience on our honeymoon and decided to book the tea service.

I preface this with the fact my husband and I do not normally eat “this type of food.” Overall the service was unique and very enjoyable besides the few sandwiches we did not enjoy for personal preference.

The views are absolutely stunning. The staff here was nice enough to make sure we felt cerebrated during our honeymoon and went above and beyond in this area which was greatly appreciated.

Arrived after a long day on tour bus. We are staying at the Fairmont, so not interested in going to far. Not hungry enough for a full dinner, so we settled on the Rumble Bar.

It's a beautiful space, and the views out the windows are breathtaking. The space is well appointed, but not especially for our party of six. The modern looking tables and chairs didn't lend themselves to being pushed together. We made it work.

The drinks and food are overpriced, but you're at a Fairmont. We ordered a couple drinks and sandwiches. I got the Ember Cocktail, and my spouse ordered a Amber Ale. Good choices.
We tried a Lobster Roll and Pork Belly Bowl.

While we were waiting they brought us some nuts and popcorn. Which was delicious and took the edge off the hunger. Lucky for us, because it took a bit to server our food. The Lobster Roll was okay, but not up to Fairmont standards. It was more of a Maine style, more like lobster salad. And there was more roll than lobster. The Pork Belly very good, warm flavorful, and a good portion.

There are plenty of other great places to dine. We won't be coming back to this one.

We had an amazing time at the cocktail class led by Chris. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire experience both educational and fun. We learned so much while enjoying some truly delicious cocktails. Highly recommend this class to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable experience.

Cool location, a bit of chipping masonry along the front. I've had better tartare and better espresso martinis, but they were still good.

Such a beautiful bar—especially if you can score a spot by the window, the views are stunning. Service was lovely too—our server was super thoughtful, gave great recommendations, and even moved us to a better table when one opened up for our group.

The cocktails were delicious (very sip-worthy), but honestly? I’m still dreaming about that chocolate chip cookie. It was warm, gooey, and basically perfection against the chilly mountain air. Cozy, indulgent, and totally worth it.

We had drinks and snacks at the beautiful Rundle Bar on our last evening in Banff and it did not disappoint. Our waiter, Jordan (from Ontario), was fantastic! He was genuinely nice, helpful, professional and we really enjoyed having him as our waiter. He'd be a great bartender as his people skills are excellent! Thank you very much for taking such wonderful care of us.

The fairmont staff are like nothing you’ll ever experience at another resort. They truly go above and beyond in every way! We experienced such great hospitality and service throughout the resort and every business located inside. Fairmont staff played a huge roll in going above and beyond for helping my fiancé plan our engagement without me knowing anything, they were so accommodating and helpful and celebrated with us. The little cafe in the front lobby was absolutely amazing, their breakfast was dreamy & the staff was so friendly and explained everything about their ingredients and their business and we really enjoyed it! The little pub in the back was amazing, the spa was unmatched & 1888 chophouse was a big hit for our celebratory dinner afterward & we loved the food and service. If you have the chance to do the guided tour i definitely recommend, we almost didn’t go and we were so glad we did. This place has so many cool facts and things to see that aren’t even shared online so it was super cool to learn about. Our entire stay start to finish was perfect & we can’t wait to go back!

Some of the best cocktails and best views in Banff. They also have a great zero proof cocktail list. Atmosphere on point. I can’t wait to go back

We had a very disappointing experience at afternoon tea on Easter Sunday. My family came from out of province to celebrate Easter, Mother’s Day, and three birthdays together. We chose to mark the special occasion with afternoon tea as we’ve always enjoyed our experience at Fairmont locations across the country. Unfortunately, this was our first time at the Banff Springs location and we were left very disappointed and feeling like they did not care at all about their customer experience.
Although it wasn’t very busy, our server repeatedly forgot about us and admitted to forgetting about us 2 or 3 times. We didn’t receive refills of tea or water, even after asking, and although the desserts and scone were good, we found the sandwiches quite bland.
The tipping point for the experience was at the end of the meal. The menu listed 3 macarons as part of dessert, which they had in little boxes as a takeaway gift. After waiting for about 20 minutes for the bill, our server said she would get them for us. She then forgot about us again, and we waited another 10 minutes for the macarons. Although our group was 4 adults, she only brought 3 boxes then left. A few minutes later we asked her about the fourth box and she claimed that since my brother and SIL paid together, they only get 1 box, and since my mom and I paid separately, we each get a box. This made no sense as each of us had the set menu and paying together or separately does not change the amount paid. On the set menu, there was no indication that the macarons were per bill/party, and we saw couples who paid together each received a box.
If you’re looking for a special afternoon tea experience that feels worth the price, I would definitely not recommend this location. Lake Louise is a bit farther, but it is worth the drive for better service and an enjoyable experience.

We took a cocktail class with Chris at the Rundle Bar at Fairmont Banff Springs this evening. Chris was entertaining with his knowledge of mixology. He is a wonderful teacher and we left feeling ready to make some cocktails at home! We are here on our honeymoon and it was such a great activity. I would highly recommend this class or even just stopping in for Chris to make you a drink! Cheers!
