Anatolia Turkish Restaurant – (CFM South) is a reliable spot for Turkish flavors at the Calgary Farmers’ Market South. The doner wrap is decent and filled with a good amount of meat, with everything tasting fresh and service quick for a casual lunch. The flat bread and hummus are highly recommended, as the bread is almost certainly the best in the city with an unmatched, cloud-like texture. The lamb shank is exceptional, very well prepared, tender, and full of flavor, making it one of the best places for lamb shank in Calgary. The lamb shank plate is delicious, and all the fresh baked bread seems preservative-free. However, the spinach borek is way too greasy. The restaurant brings a genuine taste of Turkey, with authentic, beautifully presented food bursting with flavor, from perfectly seasoned kebabs and freshly baked pide to mouthwatering doner and crisp salads. The owner is kind and welcoming, adding a personal touch. The sweets are amazing, but note the restaurant closes at 5pm.
