As an Iranian living in Calgary with limited to non-existent Iranian cuisine options, I've tried Atlas a few times and was disappointed each time. Service is not the best and the quality of the food is low - no real taste to it and not the most fresh. Comparing it to places say in like Vancouver, it's a big letdown. Still waiting on a decent Iranian restaurant in this city

I ordered 2 kabob koobideh, 1 Jujeeh kabob adn 1 Kabob barg and the total price was suppose to be 33.50 without tax, but surprisingly, I paid 77.18 for it. The reason is that the price in the site is different than real one. Koobideh in the site is $9.50, Jujeeh is 11.50 and barg is 12.50 but the real price is $17 for kubideeh, $19 for jujeeh and $20.50 for barg. I asked the server about the price and she told me that the price in the site is only for the half of the meal. Even before I order kubeedeh I called them and asked that is kubeedeh 2 skewers or only one and she told me that it is 2 skewers. if the price in the site is only for half of a meal, they need to mention it. It is ridicules and I really disliked their dishonesty and it is a fraud, I will never ever go back to this restaurant and never recommend it to anyone else.

This place was a terrible experience. The complimentary bread was flaky and dry. The main meal I ordered was pricey for the quality. I ordered the chicken and beef and they were both dry and flavorless. The rice was incredibly dry and flavorless. We ask for tzatziki sauce to give the rice some flavor and make it better to eat but it too was flavorless and watery. The vegetables were of poor quality too. I would not recommend this place.

Came here after recommendations online. It's about as far from any Persian food I've have ever had. We ate because we were hungry but it was bad. The rice tasted like uncle Ben's instant rice. The meats were marinated but lacked any flavor and I mean ANY flavor. The bread was low quality. There was a small glass jar of some unknown spice on the table. We liberally applied hoping to add any flavor to our non flavored meal. Again, there was none. I'm sorry to say but the meal we had was the equivalent of fast food slop food. The person cooking the food obviously doesnt like food. The decor was cold. The place was cold. The place had sorta of a feel of a high school cafeteria. In no way was the food authentic or good. Edible if hungry in that sorta eat a big mac and fries cause there isnt anything else around for miles and then immediately regret the feeling after. I'm not keen on glowing reviews online when the place is obviously bad. It was fast food that happened to be labeled Persian. Also, had it been priced as junk food, I would have minded less. Sorry for the rotten review but there it is. It was embarrassing for anyone who cares about food.

I was very impressed with all the hard work the new owners have put in! The food was delicious with more than generous portions and the customer service was top notch. I highly recommend Atlas to everyone!
