“If you want food that is delicious and full of quality ingredients this is the place to go. Everything is organic and you don’t feel bad after eating from here at all. I’ve been constantly going here for the last 2 years and if this place was to ever close down I don’t think I’d ever eat out again lol. This place for me is soul food. Soul food because physically it makes me feel nice after because of the quality ingredients but also because the customer service is so exceptional that I feel good mentally after as well. Good mentally because no matter what my order is or how I want it, it’s always done to my liking with no judgement. Everyone here treats you with mutual respect which is so rare nowadays, unlike these other restaurants in the NE, that show you attitude for the smallest things.“

The St. Louis ribs just fell right off the bone, so much flavor in every single bite! Seriously...yummy. The fried green tomatoes were not as good as my mother's, but when you dip them in the horseymayo sauce? Katie bar the door! We'll be back that's for sure. “I recently visited Gogi Resto in Calgary for some Korean BBQ, and it was a great experience overall. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere and the food came out quickly, which is always a plus for an all-you-can-eat spot.

The selection of meats was fresh—especially the pork belly and beef slices, which cooked nicely on the grill. I also enjoyed the fried chicken and sides; the kimchi and dipping sauces added a lot of flavor to the meal. The lettuce wraps were fresh and perfect for balancing the richness of the grilled meat.“

“The quantity of food is incredible for $11. The amount of meat is actually so great that you struggle to find rice. The sausage is a fusion of soft Hong Kong style sausage and American smoked sausage and I think it's great. Never had it before and the outside texture is fantastic. I actually wish they gave less meat and more rice lol. Also recommend asking for more sauce. Pretty busy even on a weekday. A true hidden gem.“

It was priority #1 this trip and couldn't be happier. 1st! And most important! CARRIE WAS AMAZING! “The staff at Hayden Block are very friendly, very polite, very helpful to make sure you have an enjoyable experience! They serve delicious food and excellent beer on tap. I thoroughly enjoyed the music tonight, Prairie Lake band, playing "Blue Rodeo " songs. Such a professional sounding band!! I always enjoy going out to the Hayden Block in Kensington.“

“The best chinese-vietnamese bbq place in town. Their bbq pork (charsiu xá xíu) is amazing. They usually sell out of food fast, so come early. Their sauce is actual drippings from the meat, not some concocted soy sauce mixtures as in most bbq places.
Like any other vietnamese places, cash only.“

“I do not know how I could have missed this place!! When my friend Herman told me to try this bbq skewer place that his son loves, I thought, maybe my son would love it too (#pickyeaters 🙄). So off we went to this non-descript Chinese BBQ place beside my fave Korean grocery. My son and I were blown away, specially with the bacon wrapped enoki mushrooms skewers! Everything was very tasty 😋. Great thing with this joint is that they can cater the spiciness to your palate, my son and I were good with just the regular one. From grilled oysters topped with cheese, to crispy chicken skin, to gizzard and chicken liver for the more adventurous, to the quintessential pork belly and beef ones, the garlic and scallion covered scallops paired perfectly with the spicy steamed okra drizzled with sauce and a cup of sesame sprinkled steamed rice. It was so delicious my son requested to come back after a week! There’s ample parking space and the price is reasonable, just remember that the price is per skewer! I suggest, if you’re in a date, try one of each first. You can always order some more. Kid friendly and the staff are nice, explaining the menu and offering options if you have dietary concerns. “Ok so this place is inside Tops supermarket, inside Central Landmark Mall. Took me forever to find it. Food is pretty good. The crispy pork is best, amazingly crispy, maybe the meat is a bit dry. Duck is good. Cha siu is ok. Lunch combo is a great deal. All in all a pretty good deal for the amount of food you’re getting. Cash only.“

“Great hole in the wall bar and grill on 17th Ave SE. The staff were very nice, atmosphere was enjoyable. The music wasn't to loud so you could have a conversation without screaming. The food was great. Got the 5 Apps for $38 plus a large chicken caesar salad and a burger with fries and gravy. The gravy reminded me of the very yummy high school gravy, which I was very pleased to find out. ? ? ? ? ? ? onion rings, potato skins, deep fried pickles, and the steak bites were all so good.
Had ro take a couple of boxes homeof leftovers but so glad we did. The burger was even better then next day for dinner. First burger I've ever had that you could eat the day after. ????
Will definitely go there again very soon, and always remember to bring cash, it's the best currency since we have to have one.

“We went for a Thank You dinner with a friend. Our first time at Korilla. The decor is quite modern and very lovely, it was well lit and nicely laid out and very clean. Service was great and very handy to have a Call Button at each table for when you need something. The Food was Outstanding. We ordered a platter and a calamari appy. They came very fast. The barbecue was very clean and quickly ready to cook. It was a little loud for our gathering, but we could still talk. This made the place quite energetic so would be perfect for other events. We have already recommended the restaurant to a friend and will definitely be going back.“

“This past weekend we celebrated my husbands 65th birthday at Big Ts in Mahogany! I was a little concerned when I realized how small it was and yet this place did not disappoint! They made room for 26 people without sacrificing service and taste! They served each table quickly and efficiently! The staff were friendly and went out of their way to allow this party to work well! They even decorated the place before we arrived! They not only handled our party but the other take out angle as well! Our whole gang was very impressed with how great the food was as well! “Don’t listen to the reviews! This place is a great small quaint hidden gem near SAIT. It gives off a classic hole in the wall New York vibe. The seating area is a definite cozy vibe with a direct view of the Main Street. They don’t play music inside but the sound of the natural sounds from the cars passing by is oddly soothing. It’s a great place to study or to read a book while eating lunch. The restaurant owner is very friendly and the service was very quick. I definitely recommend the baked beans and corn bread. They were sweet and well cooked! They use really tasty cheese and a savoury bbq sauce in their sandwiches as well a pretty good brioche bun. My only comment would be that the meat could be a bit softer for the pulled pork but that could also just be my preference. The pricing is also very reasonable got two meals including drinks and the price came to about $32. The reviews are harsh especially for a place that’s trying to start out. Definitely worth trying if you’re a person that enjoys trying a new restaurant! Way better to try it in person!“
