The venue has three separate parts, including a lively girls bathroom that often feels like a party and even has its own female bouncer for crowd control. The upstairs area can be crowded and rowdy, especially during busy nights. The venue is not wheelchair accessible due to stairs, and parking options include street parking and paid lots. The staff are friendly and attentive, with quick and happy bartenders. The venue charges $5 to keep your jacket inside and accepts cash only at the counter. It is 18+ only, making it suitable for adult audiences. Commonwealth Bar & Stage is a great place for live shows and nights out in Calgary, with a welcoming atmosphere and good sound system.
