This was one of the best nights of my life and hands down the best culinary experience I've ever had. We were greeted by Sandrina who had such a charm about her in every way. She explained the pairings so well and had lots of information about the wineries and the beverage. Randy, the mixologist had so much passion for his creations (which were absolute fire) and was very personable. He read each guest and understood exactly how to communicate with each individual to give them the experience they were looking for. From the beginning we were impressed with the presentation of the food. The Canadian experience, I felt like I was experiencing a part of the wilderness where the dish was coming from. The aromas for each dish were outstanding, the visual was so creative and colorful it brought immediate joy to my face, the taste was unbelievable. Melting, lingering, explosions of flavor. The dining experience was not only filling in appetite but also in education. Chef Darren taught me so much about my own history as well as the history of tomatoes, tempura, and pork. It's clear he was born to share his culinary artwork with the world.

We gifted a reservation to friends as their wedding present and Eight did not disappoint. They were both floored firstly by the level of service we've become accustomed to at Eight. Top notch!! Then the food. Each dish masterly curated with skill and precision. It's as much a show as it is a dining experience. We are so lucky to have what Chef Darren has created here in Calgary. Can't wait to visit his new venture in London.

One of the funnest culinary experiences we have done yet. The food was so unique and the chef and their team did an outstanding job. The food on its own would have been an experience, but tied into the story telling, presentation and interactions during the whole evening, it makes it something very special.

As the name suggests, there is only room for 8 people and reservations are a must; almost like getting concert tickets.
The atmosphere is great, you use a phone in the hotel lobby to be escorted to a speakeasy for pre dinner drinks which are so unique and delicious.
Then it's time for dinner which doesn't disappoint. We had 19 courses and each one was a piece of art and flavor was unbelievable. We loved how the chef and team explained the inspiration behind each course, which is a cross between Canadian and Japanese cuisines. My wife had the tea pairing and each one was incredible, I had the wine pairing which was very good too.
Cannot wait to come back, reservations open soon!
